What's that one from eastern soviet Germany called again? And it has quite small Eye holes.
What's that one from eastern soviet Germany called again? And it has quite small Eye holes.
Don't bother if it has small eye holes. If you really must use a gasmask: http://www.armygasmasks.com/SEA-Scott-Full-Face-Gas-Mask-Respirator-p/aaagas-30.htm You can find these on eBay for around 50 dollars, ANSI rated and everything.
I need a British retailer as I don't want to spend butloads on Shipping. Edit: Also it has to be Russian.
Nobody will notice if it's not. You're pretty much out of luck if you want an ANSI rated russian gas mask on a reasonable budget. Even if you put in some kind of plastic lenses over the normal ones, I wouldn't trust the rubber.
Why wouldn't you trust the rubber?
Russia. That's all that needs to be said.
My friend bought a Russian GP-5 today and he said that its fine to wear. Just hurts when your hair is pulled along with it taking it on and off. [editline]12:57AM[/editline] Also I'm using it for airsoft, not chemical emergencies. I already have a Sabre Safety one for that.
Russia. That's all that needs to be said.
Don't be ignorant please.
Why wouldn't you trust the rubber?
May be thin in some areas, weaker in others, etc. Not because it's Russian. I have a gas mask, a Candian M69. The rubber (or whatever it is) seems thick enough, but comparing it to my mask or even my goggles, it's a lot thinner.
Don't be ignorant please.
How am I being ignorant? All I said was Russia.
My friend bought a Russian GP-5 today and he said that its fine to wear. Just hurts when your hair is pulled along with it taking it on and off.
ok now i know for a fact the russian gp-5 is easily the cheapest and ugliest gasmask you can get and it will be shreded in airsoft. The rubber, the lenses, everything. I still stand by my suggestion, if you hollow out a gp-5 filter and stick it on there it looks much better and it's the gasmask used in metro 2033. Or at least it looks a lot like it. [editline]12:22AM[/editline]
Don't be ignorant please.
how do you think russian products got that reputation? [editline]12:23AM[/editline]
I need a British retailer as I don't want to spend butloads on Shipping.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEA-Scott-Full-Face-Gas-Mask-Respirator-NBC-Filter-/290440917835?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439fa0b34b#ht_2228wt_991 ka-blam, cheaper than I expected at a whopping £30,01
Okay, call me stupid but what do they refer to when they say Li-Poly or Li-Po? I assume it has to do with Lithium batteries but I'm not positive. Anyone want to hint me in?
Okay, call me stupid but what do they refer to when they say Li-Poly or Li-Po? I assume it has to do with Lithium batteries but I'm not positive. Anyone want to hint me in?
You had it right, Lithium Polymer batteries.
Lithium are more expensive and they are more durable, but other then that what are the pros and cons of Li-Poly batteries?
Lithium are more expensive and they are more durable, but other then that what are the pros and cons of Li-Poly batteries?
you can get a higher ROF with a smaller battery, if you haven't upgraded your gearbox to be able to use Li-Po battery's you can break gears, pistons etc.
Lithium are more expensive and they are more durable, but other then that what are the pros and cons of Li-Poly batteries?
Well here's my list since I use Lipo's. Pros: -High ROF -Very fast trigger response, great for semi auto only games -Compact size for same mAh as some mini batteries and higher voltage -7.4v lipo gives same performance as 9.6v battery in a compact size. Cons: -ROF can be too fast, causing misfeeds, no feeding, or gearbox parts stripping -Low mAh on some of the smaller Lipos, such as the 1100mAh KA buffer tube lipo. -Specialized balancing chargers, but even then there a cheap plug and charge chargers from China that work just fine.

I had been wanting one of these masks forever, and never thought about looking at ebay. I found someone that regularly sells them for ~$50 and has 99.9% positive feedback. Going to order one next week maybe.
I'm going to get a gp-7V then a mcu/2p and do some work to make a full head helmet with that as a mask. That will be cool.
Interesting idea, dont plan on airsofting in the GP-7V. I made your avatar transparent because the non-transparency is killing me.
I'm buying this 3-shot TSD shotgun Anyone have it?
I'm buying this TSD shotgun: http://www.airsoftpost.com/images/large/Shotgun_TSD_SD87TLRB_lg.jpg Does anyone have it, and if so, do you have any advice for it?
There's like, three reviews on this site. Look for the reviews megathread.

I don't see the differeance. [editline]11:02PM[/editline]
Interesting idea, dont plan on airsofting in the GP-7V. That would kill me inside.
Just replace your avatar with it. The transparency just gets rid of that white box around your avatar. Which is ugly and annoying.

Yeah it's pretty much an FP approved gun, I love mine but i rarely use it since most of my fighting is in the woods at 150+ feet. And i use 100 min engage with my sniper rifle so i'm aways far away from action
Is woodland MARPAT a good camo for semi arid grassland? I want a camo that works well both there and in woodland that isn't Multicam or something like that.
