That would be a Serpa holster with the MOLLE adapter, same one I use with my P226. I used to mount mine that way but my single point sling would keep getting snagged on it. I keep mine facing down on my right hand side of my plate carrier, or on a belt. They're great holsters, cheap and efficient. Won't have to worry about losing mags either. Wouldn't bother with the cheap chinese knock offs, as they cost about the same after shipping. Serpa Holster $34 http://www.lapolicegear.com/blcqcsehomaf.html MOLLE Adapter $12 http://www.lapolicegear.com/blackhawk-strike-cqc-ambidextrous-platform-with-speed-clips.html
Thanks a lot, usually I wonder around looking for these things for days and then get ripped off. I'm probably going to get one next paycheck. So I can position the angle of the holster anyway I want? And how is the balance? It looks like that to me the back end of any pistol will sag on the vest and holster because of the weight.
M16 HBar (M16 with a bipod and hi-cap to simulate real version) or RPK?
M16 HBar (M16 with a bipod and hi-cap to simulate real version) or RPK?
The M16 HBAR won't be considered a support weapon at milsims, so you won't be able to use hicaps.
This is true. Plus the RPK looks better, imo of course.
I just finally got around to ordering my SERPA, with drop leg, paddle, and some other sort of unidentified mount, for ~40 USD. Not too bad. And it means my new KWA 1911 has somewhere to go...
What about the heat, man?
Well, it's the rainy season now. It's hot and wet simultaneously.
The M16 HBAR won't be considered a support weapon at milsims, so you won't be able to use hicaps.
If you could make it actually look like an HBAR, I don't see why it wouldn't.
I just decided not to pick up a set of Six Color (Choco Chip Desert) MOPP gear for $10. Just didn't seem that practical from what I've heard about MOPP... was it a bad choice? I can go back and get it if it's a good idea and I made a mistake on the MOPP. Help me FP.
For ten bucks? Why wouldn't you get it? And where did you get your SERPA?
I just ordered one from T-Tiger on ASF. He's only got the black ones, and is out of strike plates (MOLLE mount) but he's bundling the drop leg, and though it's a "chinese clone" I used one that a friend had bought from him, and it worked pretty damn well. And... well, actually, I may go get that MOPP stuff, just for the hell of it. The only thing is I can never see myself using six color haha.
So I can position the angle of the holster anyway I want? And how is the balance? It looks like that to me the back end of any pistol will sag on the vest and holster because of the weight.
There's about 4-5 different angles you can mount it. The balance isn't much off an issue, as the strike plate is fairly wide and clips onto the bottom of the MOLLE webbing to reduce movement. Although if you're mounting this on your chest I highly recommend having either a fake armor plate or a piece of cardboard behind, or else it's probably going to flop around quite a bit.
Thanks for all the responses Ender. Last question, do you know where I can get that same package you linked me too (MOLLE Mount and G23 Right Handed SERPA) in Coyote Brown? Black isn't bad, but Coyote SERPA's go with EVERYTHING except black. I never run black, so it's fine for OD, CB and ACU.
If you could make it actually look like an HBAR, I don't see why it wouldn't.
Unless he makes his own handguard I don't see how it would look different than an M16 with a bipod.
If you don't see it there odds are they don't make them in that color. Check the other model glock holsters, as they should all fit any size glock in theory.
Shit, I would've bought it for $10. [editline]asd[/editline] In reply to;
I just decided not to pick up a set of Six Color (Choco Chip Desert) MOPP gear for $10. Yeah, I came to that realization. I think I'll get the RPK, it converted me to Eastern Bloc.
So my friend is going to get his first airsoft gun. I recommended the G&G Combat Machine and a 9.6 Nunchuck. Y/N?
Ye.
I need to find a gas blowback Jericho 941. Halp plz.
I have a NBB Jericho 941. I don't know if they make a blowback version though. Cybergun makes it, but has a KWC or a KSC brand on it.
I'm thinking about buying an Ares Tavor to make an IDF loadout because my quest to find a full metal G&G M4 on any Canadian website failed even though I found a full metal G&G M16. I don't know if I can totally justify spending almost $700 on that gun though. I know I'm in Canada but it still seems like quite a bit. Also it's the tan version with the rail set so maybe Stupideye or Venom could figure out what that normally goes for up here.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the G&G M4. But why not get a different brand like CA? [editline]12:41PM[/editline] And I've been converted to Eastern Bloc. How good are the RED Star AKM, Ak74? And unrelated, but the CYMA or G&G M14?
Yeah, I know what you mean about the G&G M4. But why not get a different brand like CA?
CA is way more expensive than G&G up here.
Oh, I thought that might be true, but I wasn't sure. I don't know much about ICS, but if they were decent maybe you could look the up?
I heard that the CYMA m14 is better than the G&G.
I heard that the CYMA m14 is better than the G&G.
You heard wrong.
Really? It'd save me a good amount of cash.
From what I've heard from numerous places, the G&G M14 is far better than the CYMA.
Let me rephrase that. The best m14 for the money. It will need a few minor upgrades (motor, hop up) and then it is comparable to the G&G.
