I'm getting the CYMA one. A few friends and I might start a small airsoft team, and I wanted to be designated marksman.
Plus it'll be my first AEG and the reviews for it are decent enough.
Like I've said before, buying your first airsoft gun, is like buying your first car.
You'll never make up your damn mind? Cause I sure can't.
I really want Stupideye's M14. Planning to build it up to be the ultimate DMR, get a tightbore barrel and a positive seal piston, etc.
I'm still trying to decide if I want to spend $700 on an Ares Tavor or not. And I need to figure out how to for once convince my mom that something I want to buy isn't a waste of money if I end up deciding to buy it.
I've heard the Tavors from Ares are shit actually.

I've seen this. They jam like no tomorrow and the dude's gun broke twice in one day.
I think with Ares you just pay for the name, and I guess the externals.
I'm pretty much fucked for an IDF loadout then. I don't want to spend too much money on an AR when I don't even like them that much.
Someone else makes a Tavor though. I forgot who it was, but I remember linking it here.

Saw a review for the TSI Tavor on Yotube. It turned out to be total shit.
You could get a Galil or an AR and build some sort of IDF loadout. I feel like I've seen pictures of Sayaret troops using AR's (I know the IDF has some in their inventory), and they've got Galils in their armory somewhere, too.

ARs are standard for the IDF. The Tavor is kinda like the SCAR now. Yeah, some people use them. Their no where near standard issue though.

The Tavor is used by three of the five infantry brigades so I'd say that's the majority of combat troops. I have no idea where to get a Galil in Canada and like I said before, I don't like ARs enough to justify Canadian prices for them.
Ethiopia has TAR-21's. Wrap your head around that.
Their people are starving to death but they can afford new weaponry.
Are they standard? I've heard all sorts of things about what's issued haha. They've got a lot of different weapons being given to different units, if I remember correctly.
And Taepodong, why don't you like AR's?
-snip-
Anybody else remember when CodeMonkey wanted a Tavor?
I'm kind of glad I didn't get it, ARES is kind of a hit or miss. You can get gold or you can get a pile of shit.
I'd imagine the only solid product they make is the M200.
Where do you mount a 1pt sling on a Full Stock? I kind of want to upgrade from my three-point to a one point Blackhawk sling but I've only ever seen them on Carbines, with the hook attached to the buffertube.

I thought you had to mount it with an adaptor.

In theory, this would mount to my buffertube without any trouble, right?

That's not exactly what I had in mind, but I've seen the attachment method elsewhere. Unfortunately that sling and the mount were pushing $50+ for an airsoft gun sling.
My method doesnt use a mount. You just use the loop created by the length adjustment slider. Open it wide enough to fit the stock through, close it at the thinnest point. You dont need to buy a bungee sling, either. Any two or maybe even a three point sling will do. Twos work best, though.
Oh, now I see what you're referring too.
BRB testing now.

It works, you saved me $50~
The mount tends to slide and move around but that's my only problem.
No problem broseph
Would this:

work as a good scope riser for this:

?
I believe so

Probably not the best option but it would work
I can almost guarantee you that holographic is longer than 5 rail out-dents, so only if you won't mind it looking a little odd. I personally think risers are ugly and unnecessary, as I can just tilt my head an extra 10 degrees and see just fine.
