i mean their comparitave rof. but ive researched around, and discovered that there basically the exact same, cept 1 is more generic than the other and the other does not have a bolt catch.
The KWA M4's bolt catch is non-functional. As I said before, it comes down to personal taste. The M4 is full metal but the real G36 is plastic too.
[editline]13th November 2010[/editline]
Also the M4 has a ton of upgrade parts available, but since it's a KWA that won't really be necessary.
do you think that the g36's would break with normal use faster than the m4? im also thinking of getting the g3 because i LOVE g36c's and im only 13, so its easier on my chicken arms :v:
No. I've handled the KWA G36 and I can assure you, that plastic will not break. It's very light and feels strong and stiff. And besides, unless "normal use" includes hitting trees with the gun, the body won't break.

What kind of head wrap is this and where can I find it?
Looks like the same material those sniper shrouds are made of, just pulled up so it doesn't cover his face. Basically a bag of subdued-colour fabric to go around your head, so if you're pale as a piece of paper you don't stand out so much.
Black people don't need them....
Thanks for the tip. I think I'll get the g36c and a 11.1v LIPo battery.

What do you mean?
On the topic of boots, this is just me thinking, why don't people actually shoot for perforance instead of being held back by their loadout? I could understand this in other aspects, but your feet are one of the most important things to take care of here. Personally, I plan on wearing some Merell's.

Here's a good example of what I'm looking at: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2979958&cp=2367438.2367824.2277089.2368759.2361225
most military boots are designed for performance
Um, I saw a picture of a Russian holding an AK74 the other day, he was wearing a Ushanka and some kind of winter coat. The coat had a greenish color I think, camo-like, and it was a winter coat because it had fur on the things near his neck.
Can anyone help me find this coat? I lost the image and I was going to use it for an airsoft outfit...it might get hot in the summer though.
And if anyone has the heart and patience, if you could find me a complete list of what to wear to match this guy, besides the gasmask, then I'd love you forever.

:v:
ooh, shit! i know EXACTALLY where to get those, but i dont know there name!
The jacket and pants he's wearing in that picture are Gorka (They have different varations) with pads sewn onto the shoulders and other minor modifications. A set of Gorka will set your back $100~

oh, just wondering, how can i tell if a lipo battery im charging is full? and are there any lipo battery chargers that will cut out when its full?
Get a smart charger. Lipos occasionally explode if overcharged.
You're helpful, Fenris. :v: Would it be possible to find one in the color in the picture? Also, I think the backpack is a rucksack but I can't find any that match it. So besides the tan gorka, the knife, the AK74, the gasmask, and the rucksack...what other things would you need? I'm thinking of having a vest on under the gorka to carry magazines and stuff.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=913
It's mainly the stuff on his chest that is annoying to find...
Should I order the gorka a size or two larger than my normal so it'll last longer? Or would I just look stupid?
oh, just wondering, how can i tell if a lipo battery im charging is full? and are there any lipo battery chargers that will cut out when its full?
Keep in mind you need a special charger for lipo batteries. Standard chargers you use with NiCD and NiMH batteries will not work. Lipo batteries require all cells to be charged at the same rate. This is where the balancer comes in. Lipos need a charger/balancer to properly charge the battery.
Something like this will work. Just attach the balancer connector of the battery to this charger and let it go. I used to use a similar charger for over a year with no problems, but mine died recently. Had to switch to my expensive RC plane charger/balancer.

The coat looked like the guy on the right, only a different color and it was actually a coat. Like the trenchcoats the SS wore but...winter-ish.

I dunno if you can understand what I'm talking about. I'm going to wear the coat, if I can find it, a Ushanka, and a vest underneath it, and boots and stuff. That'll be my airsoft outfit, nothing too complicated. :v:
It's a common coat in Russia but I just...forgot the name.

You don't want that vest *waves two fingers*
But really, get a chicom AK chest rig, not a crossdraw. Crossdraws are the exact opposite look you want. I wish I could find the discussion in the STALKER loadout thread (or even worse the STALKER megathread) where we pointed out what each piece was with links.

I can guarantee you it's a Gorka. Also, the vest goes overtop the jacket, and the jacket is zipped up.
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
The backpack is a Veschemok, if I spelled that right. Could be a sleeping bag below it. The knife is a Russian knife in a Romanian holster. Gas mask is a Gp4 with hose attachment.
No links though :frown:

I know the one in the STALKER picture is a gorka, I was just talking about a different outfit, sorry for confusion. :ohdear:
I shall search for these items and bring them back here.
Ah, it'd look just as well if you can find it in OD, brown, even black if you model the rest of the loadout around it I guess.
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Er, well maybe not. You might want a hood, and that jacket would be an odd loadout for non deep-winter games.
Here's the first link on google for chicom ak chest rig:
http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2514
I can't find anything related to a Veschemok. This looks close to the one in the picture though.
http://www.soviet-propaganda.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=378
And honestly I think a shovel would be better than a knife, one of those shovels that can break cinderblocks, fry eggs and whatnot. Gah, this is all so confusing. I don't really like the look of the chest rig...wouldn't a gorka look awesome over a vest? But that might not be practical for holding huge AK magazines.
I probably spelled it wrong. There's like 6 results on google for "Veschemok backpack"
Shall we try to compile a full list of what's needed in that picture so noone will have to search anymore? With specific links to each item.
No need, metal man to the rescue :buddy:
Sure! I don't mind sharing. But this how I'm setting up though
Clothing:
OD Gorka top
OD pants
Gear:
Lifchik chestrig (or a Chicom for a cheaper substitute)
veschmeshok (He is wearing a canvas RD-54, which is hard and expensive as hell to find)
A belt some sort
Israeli gas mask w/ snorkel hose
Romanian bayonet (at least scabbard wise)
M85 gas mask bag
Is that...the one from the STALKER picture?! Hnnnngh. :buddy:
Yeah, I was mistaken. There was a 3 page discussion in the STALKER megathread (not STALKER loadout) a while back where we found places to buy all of it. No sense spending 30 minutes tracking the post down when really, all you have to do is find a reliable website or two that sells gear like this.
I can't help with that part though.

For the veschemok thing? It was from a thread, dunno if that's the correct one.
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Also, if I'm a bit short on monies I assume the chestrig could be replaced with a vest and it'd still look okay...
