You know, I've wanted to play System Shock 2 for so damn long now, and I really don't know why I haven't. And while I've only seen the beginning of the game, and while it does look really fucking great...
Am I the only person that hates that music that plays in the medical area? (5:00 in) I mean I won't deny it's a cool track on it's own right, but some atmospheric horror music would have been waaaaay better. The fast paced action-y electronic music drains all the tension out of that scene. Makes it feel less like a sci-fi horror and more like a sci-fi mutant shoot-em-up. Maybe it's not like that in the later parts of the game, but that just turns me off a bit.
Been a while since I played it, but it still stands up as a horror game in some respects, despite the action-y gotta fight music. Definitely worth a playthrough on singleplayer.

If I can, I'll probably turn off the music for the rest of the game. I love SS2's music, but it just doesn't work with commentary IMO. Too much sound happening at once.
