I love watching Spike and Barley, but man. They've really toned it down as per lately. Anyone have some inside insight as per why this is happening? They were popping out great videos two years ago, and it seems this year it has really staggered :( I know, I should stop complaining after every video. But there isn't really any way to get my word out than this way, you know? Do not get me wrong, I enjoy watching the videos, and I still do. I just hope that they can get back on a steady path again.

That, real life and just general business. It hasn't really changed, its just about them getting to be in the mood and on at the same time and not be busy. -This is not me being a spokes person or anything so take what I say with a grain of salt-
I know I might be late but are they still around Facepunch?
Hey man, every game can't be a winner. I know this years been stingy in terms of how many videos we upload, but we're also not Pewdiepie- who can sit there and make millions from playing SPOOOOOKY games. Fact of the matter is that we like SnBP, we really do. We don't wanna stop, but we do have lots of stuff that seems to hold us back. Technical difficulties, money(!), schedules, etc... For instance, System Shock 2. We were an hour or two in and Spike crashed. We had a save from like 5 mins before, so it was all good. However, I went to load, save was gone. Then people jump on us for "ditching" SS2. DreadOut. If you found it boring, don't blame us, blame the game. Honestly, we can only work with something so much. For the most part, people pick what we play. Fuck, people tell us to play Left 4 Dead. Like c'mon. What I'm trying to say is that we're human. We can't just turn on a switch and become Spike/Barley. We work on GENUINE emotions, not fake screaming like half the populace doing LP's nowadays. If a game doesn't really get us grooving, we're not really going to be that entertaining.
[sp]MOTORCYCLE CHARLES[/sp]
Dear god, that thing's not even scary it's just hilarious!
I had no idea there was so much content outside of the school in DreadOut.

Those videos were really enjoyable.

Problem is, it's hard to commit to something that has absolutely zero return. I literally dump months of work into those episodes, for no money, nothing. Since I literally can't go a day without someone asking about the new Barley eps, I asked a stream if they'd want me to do a Patreon to help speed up the process. It's win/win for everybody. I get money to help pay bills, they get a video if they donated, they get a video even if they don't. Point is, it's worth trying I feel. If it works out for Barley, MAYBE we could try something for SnBP. Patreon for Let's Play footage seems weird, but if it's what people want, why not. I think it's worth a shot. Worst that can happen is nothing happens.
Do you think you'll give System Shock 2 another shot any time soon? I don't blame you for stopping playing, it wasn't exactly within your control, but being a return to co-op which you don't seem to play as often anymore (not a criticism, just an observation), and the fact that SS2 is a great game, I was quite looking forward to seeing you guys complete it.
I just want another Hunting Unlimited 2008 video ;_;
Where's my [t]http://i.imgur.com/JpdTWpj.jpg[/t]
Oh great I see one new post and there's nothing. And I come with more nothing.
Oh great I see two new posts and there's nothing.
oh gr- this is stupid [editline]sd[/editline] do people really need new videos that often? the videos are awesome but it's something I can live without. couldn't imagine it being like a drug to me.
What I really want to see is more Lost Levels. Those were probably some of my all time favorites. Although I understand if they don't have as much time to play games as they used to it's sort of a long shot (also I'm sure those take a fucking long time to edit)
Barley has been in the bestment

That was a great video, hahah. I liked it a lot. Although, I have to say that the game doesn't that people don't seem to shut up about, isn't all -that- creepy. [sp]although the shock scare at the end got me, cause I had headphones on, and they were partially blasted[/sp]
[sp]I knew Bonnie was going to get him at the end, he opened the door without checking the lights right after.[/sp]

Then they start moving and walking towards you, and you can't keep track on more than one at a time. Overtime it becomes more strategy based rather than horror based, but it still can indict some scares. Pretty damn good game, I'd say.
Plus looks like keeping track of the cameras, the doors and the lights while you only have a very limited resource must get fucking nerve-wrecking
It's not scary in the sense that it's visually scary. It's scary in the sense that it's tense as fuck.

[sp]although the shock scare at the end got me, cause I had headphones on, and they were partially blasted[/sp]
The game is extremely clever and the creepiness doesn't come from the actual looks of the game (they do help a lot) but more from the growing sense of paranoia. Every night lasts just as long, but the intensity of the attacks from the animatronics keeps on growing and from day 4 and on, Freddy uses everything you've done before against you. It's incredibly draining and oppressive, but it needs time to settle in. The whole thing is about getting your nerves in a twist because you have to check everything all at once and the more you check, the more you open yourself to a death by blackout - so you have to literally put yourself into more danger in order to ensure your safety in the long run. The amount of blind management is overwhelming and gets the better of you really fast (since you have close to no actual notion of resource depletion in the game - you can see your total power, what time it is, etc, but all of the resource labels are vague as fuck and this will fuck you over. Long story short, the game's fucking amazing to play. More than it looks, really.
