Usually when a dog looks miserably and ugly as fuck it means it's not in good health at all. If a dog's hair is missing it means it's got so much skin diseases it's constantly scratching the fuck out of his fur until it's got nothing left. And if its tongue his sticking out then it literally has no teeth left.
So yeah, fuck that, no one wants to pick a dying unhealthy diseased animal that's probably not going to last more than even a year.

That pretty much sums it up. My house is full of weird shit because my mom will see it and says "I HAVE TO SAVE IT NO ONE ELSE WILL WANT IT" so that's why every fall we always get pumpkins with tumors and my house is full of weird, broken shit.
Plus I think we are just fostering them for a while. Though I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to keep them. She gets attached to stuff, plus she knows that they probably aren't going to find a home. She has this weird fetish for homely things.

Nah. In fact during the filming almost all of the crew ended up with some form of illness one way or another. John Rhys-Davies suffered from cholera during the filming and in one scene that wasn't added he was asked to bend down as part of his performance. He promptly and violently shit himself.
