OP maybe you could highlight the entry form a little better. Also the result link might be interesting: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhEA2EC5kknddEZFODJaQklPU0JJN2tHMmRhMnFkTVE&hl=en_US#gid=0
I live in Japan, but through the USPS it costs the same as shipping in the states because it's a military base. :/
shall we do it in the UK first? just to see how it works
shall we do it in the UK first? just to see how it works
You could try it in the UK, it should be easy and fairly simple. You just need to get all the address's in order and then start the project.
to save overseas costs we could limit it to a europe-only camera, and one that's US/japanese us military base and austrailia, but then half the fun is gone because we lose the "everybody used this camera" factor
I'd be in favor of a trial run that is limited to one continent/region, and if it turns out really awesome, we could do a full-scale implementation.
I'd be in favor of a trial run that is limited to one continent/region, and if it turns out really awesome, we could do a full-scale implementation.
I think the trial run would just waste peoples' money.
I think the trial run would just waste peoples' money.
I don't see why since we still get awesome pictures of people all around the specific regions.
I don't see why since we still get awesome pictures of people all around the specific regions.
Very true, anyone in the U.S. up for a trial run? It will give us an idea of how long the overseas project would take and how much it would cost. Plus we should get some sweet photos and locations from the test.
I'm cool with that if everyone else is.
Yeah I'm game for doing a US one.
i'd be down, i have a decent shot in mind that i could take
I'd be in. Germany.
Could everyone in the U.S. please email their address that they live at along just like you normally would when signing up for a magazine or something that requires mailing. My email is gramza.john@gmail.com, I will not be sharing this info with anyone except for when I have to tell people who thy're mailing the camera to next.
and anybody interested in a UK one, would you be able to all like chip in a quid for a disposable?
I'm easily up for this but I'd have to send it to someone else in the UK since I'm poor
aye, ill organise a uk one if you guys want?
aye, ill organise a uk one if you guys want?
Go ahead, and then we can later combine for the international version later on although I think we don't need two threads for this project. You can pm me your part and I'll put it in the OP and update when you want it done. [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] I updated the OP
give me some numbers
My dad said it's going to cost around $30.00 or so to send something to the UK and he might be able to get us a better price then some other places but I will tell you guys the exact price once I find out.
i sent you my US address, forgot to put my FP name in there though. but my real name is austin
I just send a PM to everyone in the US that I know that's interested in doing this project to get everyone's address, if you didn't get one then just send me your info anyway. This is just for the United States only at this time.
Just emailed you it.
im interested in this, i wonder if there are any yard sales or maybe a flea market around me that might have an an old/cheap slr with a lens to use instead of just a disposable camera, id be willing to get one to help out with this project
We're using a disposable camera to save on postage, it's already been decided.
lol okay then
Hey guys I'm really sorry this is taking so long to get started. I just got raped with a lot of school work for the last three months but after this week I'll be on brake and be able to start mailing the camera. I still have most of the address's but I don't think I got all of them in the beginning anyways. If you're still interested just post in here and PM me your address. As for the address's I've got Ohfoohy, falselogic, dajitsu, Edthefirst, coolrider102, killerelf12, and Austin Troth. I still don't have a few that I knew would be interested in the project. I also found the camera that we will be using which is 800 ISO disposable camera. We will be able to start soon and whoever I determine is after me will probably get the camera sometime around or after Christmas.
oh i'm austin troth. and i'm so looking forward to this
Great idea!
Is this happening for the states only? Glad to see the thread has been bumped back to the first page.
I was thinking of starting a UK one as Max Speilmann sell a disposable for £6 including processing and a CD
