this is still making me hungry [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] ok I''ve eaten and watched the latest episode and now it's just terriying
I actually feel really sorry for Jim now, watching episode 7 made me really sad.
That's it right?
That's it right?
Maybe. The TV show always seems to go on besides the circumstances though, so we'll see.
No, I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be an 8 Part Series.
Next episode will probably be a today now report about the whole thing, with jim busting in halfway through
That's it right?
there's 8 episodes total

I wanted Jim to survive and talk.

We finally know his name [editline]6th December 2012[/editline] And fuck do they know how to make depressing shows
that's hilarious, right at the end he does talk
that's hilarious, right at the end he does talk
it's actually a clip form earlier in the show they just put over it as a sort of sick throwback that was a good series the onion is on a roll with this, and sex house, horrifying planet, lake dredge, all the onion digital studios stuff we should have just a megathread for everything ODS puts out
I wonder whatever happened to Liz? She just kind of vanished halfway through episode 7 and she's never seen again.
As someone who loved Today Now, I'm pretty much grieving it.

Fucking hell I didn't expect what happened in Ep7 to break his mind that badly.
that was an unexpectedly happy ending
I, uh um I don't.. I came here and watched the first episode and expected just a few episodes parodying popular cooking shows. What I got.. Well, shit.
that was an unexpectedly happy ending
Disagrees? Why?
Disagrees? Why?
he is a pig, how is that a happy ending?
tommy wiseau is the only true pigman
he is a pig, how is that a happy ending?
he's happy and with a family now and shit, look at lake dredge or sex house this is a MUCH happier ending than that
Lake Dredge's ending was quite happy.
Disagrees? Why?
Because he is a burned up, deformed and shamed man with the skin, organs and blood of a pig writhing a round in a muddy pit with other pigs after the death of his family member and recent divorce that caused him to lose his mind So happy
he's happy and with a family now
Happy? First off, his new family isn't exactly the kindest to him. The footer at 2:28 shows he's often bullied by other pigs, and as for the segment from there to 2:42, what the farmer says can be seen like this: After being rejected from his own home, Jim runs off to a pig farm in an attempt to gain acceptance from anything. In order to gain this acceptance, he starts attempting to act like a pig in order to fit in with the others, including eating from a feed trough. In his desperation to gain acceptance as quickly as possible, he attempts to be the first to eat from the trough, only to be bit for his haste. Jim interprets this as rejection from his peers, which after already being rejected by everyone he's known and loved hits him hard, making him lose whatever spirit he might have had at that point and become the "well behaved" and "submissive" (note the final apology to Deb) pig on the farm. In additon, look at Jim's face when the female host (sorry for not knowing the name) tries to communicate with him. As he stands up, something the farmer says he's never done before, his facial features transform from the blank, mindless stare he's sported the majority of the video into pure horror. He opens his mouth, presumably to speak considering the timing, but nothing comes out. If you look, a terrified expression takes over his face as he climbs back down. Not only is he unrecognizable by those around him, he will never be able to express who he is or his situation to another human being. Jim is far, far from happy. Not only is he still unable to gain acceptance from anyone, he is no longer Jim, he is simply the human pig. All traces of identity have been striped from him. Chances are he will spend the rest of his life, a miserable outcast with echoes of his successful past in his mind, either in a pig farm or as a spectacle elsewhere. [SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP]oh WOW am I looking too deep into this[/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP]
Damn the Onion is deep...
In other words, the onion has many layers. [SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP][SUP]i'm so sorry[/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP][/SUP]
Lake Dredge's ending was quite happy.
I think Kim's face during the entire ending gave it away that it certainly wasnt happy.
I think Kim's face during the entire ending gave it away that it certainly wasnt happy.
By comparison to how their other series have ended it was definitely the most "happy", all that happened to Kim was his show got canceled and he saw a really creepy painting.
