The Canadian army commercials show people diving into arctic waters and IEDs with nails duct taped to them also they use a "brown and bloom" colour scheme throughout I appreciate the honesty but I think I figured out why our army is small

I'm already considering about enlisting for the Oregon Guard once I graduate in order to further save up on college money. I can spend a year in on-and-off National Guard training and then I may be able to enlist into the ROTC program in my college campus with the military training under my belt. But I'm not going to be the Billy Badass and walk around the desert killing shit. I'll just stick myself on behind-the-lines activity.

I plan on joining the Air Force, and I can really see the commercial being misleading or giving out the wrong information, however I'm pretty sure the majority of people that want to join a military branch put a lot more thought into it and research the kind of job they would be doing after they see a commercial.

OMG ZERG RUSH Anyways, I personally like the ads. Anyone that is unintelligent enough that thinks "Oh!! it will be just like COD!!!" but in RL LOLOLOL" more power to them joining the military. It would either be them fighting for their country or flipping my burgers in all honesty. Some of my friends though are actually quite intelligent and they have their mind set on the military. Those people are great. I salute them.
