No the Chineese have been coming here for years... way befor the English... The Dutch would have taken it if the Brits didn't.
Ah that's it, I knew it was someone, couldn't remember who. [editline]12:35AM[/editline]
What are you serious? Holy shit my friend you need to go backpacking.
I'm a city boy, thus I hate camping.
I think it's funny how some Australian people hate the British it's pretty ironic as they copy and pasted our flag on to there flag, added a blue background and some stars. They really think we wouldn't notice?
Australia is fine. The censorship isn't going to work out, companies are going to get mad at loss of profit and everybody is going to pirate stuff they can't legally buy. As for the aboriginals, they're fine. I live in a country town and they're complete douchebags, letting their 3 year old children wander around on the streets and they're mostly drunk. That is 80% of them. The other 20% is of aboriginals who do their part is society instead of getting drunk and letting kids wander across the street.
People live in WA?
Yes. If you didn't get my clever response I was implying I lived in W.A
I'm so sorry
Awesome, now get down on your knees and suck my penis
Yes. If you didn't get my clever response I was implying I lived in W.A
I'm so sorry
them for their land the Australian flag should look like this: ] THIS IS THE REAL AUSTRALIAN FLAG!
No it shouldn't. Did the aboriginals make Australia what it is today? No. Just like the American Flag shouldn't be replaced by a totem pole and a couple of teepee tents.
The Australian Flag at the moment shows that we were part of a huge group of people that took over a small community of people and killed
Also, boo hoo. Every country/nation/idealism/fucking large groups of people have done this at one point. It's not much different from one native tribe killing another tribe over women or land. Except that something good actually came out of the british invasions.

So, you wanna get rid of the flag your got from the empire, and replace it by stealing one from the aboriginals. You monsters.
Go watch more Avatar and tell us how profound you find it.
I have watched Avatar... It's basicaly the same... With out guns ships 'n such...
Also, boo hoo. Every country/nation/idealism/fucking large groups of people have done this at one point. Invasions and subjugation of the native populace is how countries were made :| The way we all say 'sorry' and make up for that is by stopping anything like that from happening ever again, but it's not something you should be ashamed of your country doing, that shits happened countless times throughout history, many times with the complete extermination of the native peoples or their culture but don't listen to me, I come from that tea-sipping country that fucked up a quarter of the globe
Yeah but we shouldn't celebrate it as a holiday!
i think britain should go back to owning all of these failures of nations
Exactly. They didn't do jack shit
The only reason they do that is because they don't get schooled or government support.
What? they get paid to go to school while we have to pay to go. They still refuse to go to school and would rather run around at 1 in the morning in a car with 50 in the back seat drinking goon.
South Australia there's your problem. also leave the country if you don't like it.
What? they get paid to go to school while we have to pay to go. They still refuse to go to school and would rather run around at 1 in the morning in a car with 50 in the back seat drinking goon.
and sniffing petrol
it is also the day that us white people invaded the Great and bountiful Australian Outback and started killing it’s Indigenous people.
Just about every nation has had its natives slaughtered and conqoured at one stage in time. You can't change history so why dwell on past mistakes, I think you have a rather apologetic attitude which is frankly, unnecessary - you did not cause the deaths of Australian natives.
Now days Australian Day is a day for having a BBQ or going to the beach and swimming in the cool waters, people run around with big Australian Flags on their chests or over their backs, Cars have little flags out the windows and people love sticking those tattoos on their cheeks… I don’t… I think it is totally wrong what people do, celebrate a day that we destroyed a Race of people
Austarlia day is not a day that celebrates the fact that people hundreds of years ago with different moral opinionation and thinking and understanding killed natives. To understand history, you must think like they did back in that period, you cannot think with modern standards to the past, its just idiotic. Though not saying killing people is the right thing, but you must understand why it happened.
the Australian Outback used to have hundreds of thousands of Indigenous Australian living all over it
As far as I am aware it was mostly European dieseases that killed many Indigenous people, not actual Europeans killing natives.
now they are living in outback shanty towns with no power, heating or medical care. They are abused by people for being Different and the police do nothing about it, there are some that aren’t but they are usually not fully Indigenous, half Australian Half not, I have nothing against this.
Yeah, that was totally not biased in anyway shape or form.
The country had a Referendum, Choose separate from the Commonwealth or stay with them... He made the voting card himself and the yes vote was a 300 word long statement and the no vote was the same so people just chose the first one because they couldn't be bothered reading it
Source that.
the vote came in "no" we stayed part of the Commonwealth. Afterwards newspapers around the country took votes and 75% said they want to be out of the commonwealth.
Source.
These days you get all these people (usually on Australia day) complaining about "Why would we want to change the flag?" Well it's got this huge ass Union Jack in the corner that’s says we want to be part of the commonwealth!
I don't think you understand what the commonwealth actually is.
We don't! We need a flag change! I don't want some flag that says "I'm part of the commonwealth of Briton!"
The Austarilan flag symbolizes its past history, the Union Jack symbolizing how you used to once be part of the British Empire, it was Austarilan choice to keep the flag.
It's like when people expect me to be sorry for African Americans because their ancestors were slaves well over 100 years ago. The look on their face is priceless when I explain to them that a good proportion of the slavemasters were black africans selling out their own people.
You're not celebrating it because of the slaying of natives, it's a celebration over what good your country has done and what it is today. It's called patriotism and as long as you don't become some jingo racist it's nice to have a little bit of it.
Or you can quit bitching and so some community service.
The first one looks nicer...
Yeah but we shouldn't celebrate it as a holiday!
You're looking at it from entirely thr wrong perspective. It's to celebrate the founding of the new land and the creatiuon of the new colony. They are not celebrating the murder of aboriginals. ITT: Pre-pube aussie teens discuss matters which they purposely misinterpret.
Aboriginal flag for our country? Fuck off. What fucking use have they done for our economy or country? Create the most crime out of any group? Yes. (User was banned for this post ("Racism" - TH89))
fyi, the aboriginals traded the land melbourne is on for a bunch of mirrors and firearms in the 19th century [editline]02:07AM[/editline] and I'm glad the OP is banned, thanks Jaanus
no one gives a shit
Lol @ mr. eyebrows the prime minister/el presidente. also, prepare to have facepunch banned for posting against your government.
Yay, we Brits own you :) Also, that other flag reminds me so much of Angola's or some African flag.
