Fourth was the best, looking forward to this.
it should have stopped at Apocalypse
It should have never started.
I could do a better job than this piece of shit director. It pisses me off how everybody I know: A) Likes the films B) Thinks the films came first
It's like he couldn't decide if he wanted to do a dragon ball z movie or a resident evil movie so half-way into this series he just said fuck it and did both
The only line I like in this series is when Jill yells "Who the Fuck are you!?" to Milla when she interrupts Jill's story. Everyone in the room looked at me weird for being the only one to laugh at that line. Aside from that though, um IDK. I think he may have been better off doing another Dragon Ball Z, or not, its a shame that that series live action adaption did not work out like the anime.
The only good live action resident evil movie was the first one, the second one was ok too but it was worse than the first. The third didn't make ANY fucking sense and I learned my lesson and didn't watch the 4th.
The last movie was just ridiculous. Most of the death scenes made no sense and they're guns we're literally not running out of bullets.
Even though a lot of people hate the movies, I've got to say that I've enjoyed every one of them. It's quite obvious the earlier ones were much better, but hell, I still think they're enjoyable.
Looking forward to the this one.
I heard that they are doing a reboot of this series, maybe it wont be shit.
The last movie was just ridiculous. Most of the death scenes made no sense and they're guns we're literally not running out of bullets.
they are guns?
The last movie was just ridiculous. Most of the death scenes made no sense and they're guns we're literally not running out of bullets.
All the ammo you wanted to find in the games flew through a portal to the movie's world.
The director liked the character of Alice so much he married her. God these films are just so flimsily written and put together.
They made resident evil their own thing while still remaining fans of the games. You shouldn't see this as an actual resident evil plot imo. Or maybe just a spinoff.

They took their OWN story into a direction that is different from the games. I like them and I can understand why some people don't like it because they went in their own direction rather than staying close to the game. What I DON'T understand is the people saying "This movie is shit" or "This movie is the WORST film of all time!". REALLY? The movie didn't entertain you in any way, shape, or form? If I recall a movie is for entertainment purposes.

I for one sure don't find these films entertaining (past the first movie)
I really only watch this for the zombies, but its irritating seeing Milla come on screen trying to be so badass and strong.
http://kotaku.com/5830232/game-movie-directors-theory-on-why-game-movies-stink Director Paul W.S. Anderson saying that movie game sucks because they didn't play the games and didn't stick with the source material. My irony meter just broke. REALLY?! Has he seen any of his Resident Evil films?
it should have stopped at Apocalypse
these films shouldn't have existed

They are fans of the games and that's why they continue making them (along with the fact people like them).

But these movies are... come to think of it, what are they now? They stopped being horror movies when the main character gained superpowers. They stopped being Romero-esque zombie dramas when the undead became simply props to do slow motion kung-fu moves on. They stopped being movies for the RE fanboys when the Resident Evil stuff became superficial framework to display the original character, instead of vice-versa. What do we have left? Bullet time, leather coats, sunglasses and kung fu with guns? That's the Matrix. The Matrix with a blond agent Smith and even less coherence.
they should make resident evil movies based on the books (that are based on the games) i would see those movies [editline]13th August 2011[/editline] [thumb]http://www.relyonhorror.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ResidentEvil0-ZeroHour.jpg[/thumb]
They should have just got rid of the stupid Alice plot and had her die in the first film or something then the rest should have followed the games for example the entirety of RE:3 would have made an awesome film if it was done properly.
Anderson i hope this you're last because i dont want anymore Resident Evil movies.
He is not last. And i doubt this will be the last resident evil movie. Too many people still enjoy them.

I remember watching the first movie and thinking it was okay, but after the second one I just couldn't take it seriously at all. Milla is pretty, but I don't buy her kicking ass so much. I'm still surprised every time I hear about another sequel, because I don't know how the quality improved since the first sequel, but I took this movie franchise as a bit more expensive Uwe Boll material.
You should never watch a movie if you're expecting something from it besides entertainment.
You should never watch a movie if you're expecting something from it besides entertainment.
That's a pretty narrow way of looking at movies.
It's the opposite. You narrow your view by being influenced by others. If you don't expect anything you are open for anything. A movie can still be good or bad, but not because someone else's opinion. I'd agree if you said it's a very plain way of watching movies. Also i found this quote apparently from Milla's twitter account.
cause there's been a bunch of questions about the next film, Paul has kids that are professional players. All they do is play the games until they master every level and unlock every code. They play the games for weeks and give Paul the footage. So, he's literally watching days of the most awesome RE players out there to get inspiration for the next installment of the franchise."

master every level and unlock every code
yeah because I totally remember unlocking codes to get into Wesker's evil goblin castle in order to obtain the Blade of King's Light to fight the evil wizard
