Should be proud of it dude :) Also above poster, doing that has jut messed up the shadows, but i think ir makes the main road (or at least the puddels in it) look nicer, dont know why. Edit: I correct myself, i rather like it with the contrast raised.
Some more contrast really helps it look nicer. Not that it's not already really creative. One thing I would suggest is using artist's tape to mark off areas where you don't want your colours to seep in. It makes for finer lines etc.
I think it looks pretty awesome. Can anyone post the original pencil one?
I know it's been a week since you asked: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1009152-An-A1-sized-watercolour-drawing-WIP-thread.?highlight=
Sorry chaoslord and thanks Kagrs. I kind of forgot. Anyway since I got another A1 sized paper left over I was thinking of doing another one in the market district/relationship series. Prolly more like a modern market district with more azn structures, or a lake of obelisk/-s/-ses
Please go for it!
.. but to me this is just mediocre.
Mediocre? I could show you mediocre, but others call it shit. This, my friend, is great work. Watercolors are just trouble to work with, no fun and no excitement. Unless you're a child smearing it all over your nipples, and laughing wholeheartedly at your failed attempt at art.
Isn't the sky supposed to get lighter with the distance, same applies to the colours of the buildings. Anything closer should be of normal colour or darker.

Just because watercolours are trouble doesn't mean I can be shit with them. The pencil looked way better. The water color removed a lot of the detail of the bridge, the hand and the cat.
