Is that one nazgul riding the fell beast near the end supposed to be the witch king of angmar?
I think so. For some reason they all have armor rather than the Witch-King being the only one like in ROTK. [del]It sort of takes away the badassery when they all wear armor[/del] On second thought it makes them even more badass. The first one you see in the trailer might be him, and I hope they get distinguished armor to differentiate all nine of them.
never played SoM
You really should. BundleStars has SoM+all the DLC for 5€ at the moment: https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-bundle
It's amazing how influential peter jackson's vision has been on modern interpretation of LOTR. Goes to show how in tune they were with the original movies. Fellowship was 16 years ago now.
oh fuck yes. i wonder if this was rushed out now due to the Target leak. Also: Available August 22, 2017 on Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10 PC (Windows Store and Steam), PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro. (Scorpio is out before august or the game will work on release ps4 pro style)
Windows Store lol I love Sauron in his physical form, this looks great. I bougth Shadow of Mordor on sale a year ago or two but never played it, heard great things about it so now might be the time.
Certainly looks interesting, if Talion loses Celebrimbor then it's a neat way to start afresh as you now have to master this new Ring instead. I just hope they spice up the combat a bit more this time round, hyped as fuck for any improvements they've made to the Nemesis system.
Hope we can do more than cut off heads this time. I want my nemesis to show up with both of his arms and a leg missing.

I enjoyed Celebrimbor's snarky dialogue.
Not too familiar with the deep lore of Middle-Earth, so explain why this throws out some of Tolkein's stuff out the window.
Here's a breakdown
How would it run on a laptop with a 950m, 8gb of ram, and a kabylake i5, 7200u? Thinking of picking this up.
Should run decently. 720p at around 40-60fps on high preset settings, and maybe a few on medium like shadows and ambient occlusion to keep it stable. 1080p will be around 25-30fps on the high preset. It's not too demanding of a game.
yeah i mean a black guy in there? what the hell
minas tirith is called the white city for a reason its gandalf the white not gandalf the african-american make gondor great again jk [sp]rowling is a nazi fetishist[/sp]
the fall of Minas Ithil eh
Who is that narrator voice? She sounded awesome and slightly familiar.
it sounded a lot like Cate Blanchett's Galadriel, or a good imitator
You're so cool, I wish I was as cool
Did i strike a nerve? Enjoy the game.
Hol up, so why did Celebrimbor peace out?
What does the guy shout after he gets blown back by the ring fart? And why was old wraith guy dude whisked away in a cloud of blackness? Was he running to grab the ring before the not-so-dead-not-so-alive main character grabbed it?
Hol up, so why did Celebrimbor peace out?
I assume forging the new ring of power caused a blast that blasted Talion from Celebrimbor and this seperation caused Celebrimbor to be vulnerable to being abducted by a Nazgul/Sauron
Can someone explain what is going on? Does this take place after the Return or before the trilogy? Did he make the blue ring to challenge Sauron or what?
Can someone explain what is going on? Does this take place after the Return or before the trilogy? Did he make the blue ring to challenge Sauron or what?
Neither technically, it is a separate continuity from the books or movies.
Can someone explain what is going on? Does this take place after the Return or before the trilogy? Did he make the blue ring to challenge Sauron or what?
In between Hobbit and LotR. Its got a bunch of continuity issues tho

If it's anything like Sauron's ring in the movies, that is. Come to think of it, what COULD be done to improve the Nemesis system?

Possibly having multiple nemesises or whatever forming together to make their own league of evil for the express purpose of fucking up Talion?
About there being black fellas:
The Haradrim were bold and grim men, fierce in despair. They were tall and dark-skinned with black hair and dark eyes, and for that they were called Swertings or Swarthy Men. The men of Near Harad were brown-skinned, with black hair and dark eyes, while the race known as "half-trolls" out of Far Harad had black skin.
So there you go I guess, they were portrayed as Persian-looking in the movies
Interesting nemesis content for the silver/gold editions of the game.
... • Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion • Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion ... Nemesis Expansions include a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress and wilderness updates, and a Mythic Gear Set.
Holy fuck this is going to be awesome. So much awesome LOTR shit was missing in the first game.
It's amazing how influential peter jackson's vision has been on modern interpretation of LOTR. Goes to show how in tune they were with the original movies. Fellowship was 16 years ago now.
You can attribute that more to the Alan Lee and John Howe concept art.

Then all of the side events and stuff you can do feel more meaningful and each play through is different
how will sauron even stand a chance without the one?
I feel like these games don't give a shit about the lore but at least they're fun as fuck.(the first one at least, I assume this will be more of the same)
I'm a pretty big fan of LotR and my other friend is a HUGE fan of LotR (read The Silmarillion, is basically a walking Tolkien encyclopedia.) None of us particularly care that the lore isn't exact. As far as I can tell they treat it with enough respect to make it work, while understanding that these concessions need to be made for game design and artistic freedom reasons. I can only speak for myself but I almost kinda rather they take their own liberties with lore for the sake of making an interesting game. It would be cool to have an epic final battle where you actually fight and defeat Sauron in my book, even if in the lore it wouldn't work at all.
