The Addicts' Lounge V - What time is it? Time to get high!

I used my first test kit on MDMA today. Three different reagents, all turned the expected colours very quickly. I've done MD before just based on reviews (markets) and been fine, but this is the first time I'm sharing with a few of my friends. Wanted to make sure it was legit stuff, I'd feel terrible if I gave them something which made them have a bad time (or worse). Can definitely recommend it to people who need a bit of reassurance before dropping.
man whipping cream by hand with a whisk is hard, i wish there was another way to do this, maybe some sort of way to charge the cream?
In a way it can motivate you if you do your chores first with the thought of "earning" a joint afterwards. Not a great precedent though because after a while you'll only do things if you have the prospect of smoking
Wondering to get baby rosewood or just some NOS to chill with
Anyone seen liberty caps around yet? I usually only see them mid September though.
Nos goes great with psychedelics, so maybe both! :-)
Also, my friend used to have these small plastic looking bags that were made to easily dissolve when ingested dubbed parachute bags.
I recently got some kratom and think getting some of these would be great but I have no idea where to get them. Anyone here by chance know?
Might be a bit too dry so far this year for them, will have to wait and see.
Hey druggies. I'm a straight edge man so I'm pretty much inevitably the sober rover at parties. I've only encountered people using alcohol recreationally (that I know) so far so I know how to keep an eye on them, but does anyone have any advice on looking out for people using drugs recreationally?
Probably more specifically the safer ones (weed? acid?) but the more risky ones would be interesting to know about as well.
All my google-fu is just telling me what to do if someone overdoses, which is not necessarily helpful (you keep drunks away from sharp things, which is useful, but all the advice on drugs is CALL AMBULANCE IMMEDIATELY)
yeah because if someone is overdosing on heroin or something you should probably get them to a hospital.
for weed if someone is greening out, have them lay down, give them water, same shit you would do for someone who has had too much to drink. with acid there really isn't too much you can do except for try to calm them down and reassure them (afaik)
Weed / Edibles: Keep them sat down and calm them down, just ride it out.
Stimulants (MDMA, Coke, Mephedrone etc): Make sure they stay hydrated, but not too much water - ~500ml an hour. Extreme cases ambulance + keep their body temperature down with ice packs etc.
Psychedelics: Mostly a case of keeping people calm. Extreme cases ambulance. Bear in mind some psychs are also stimulants and/or dissociatives.
Dissos: Keep them sat down since bodily co-ordination goes out the window. Usually pretty safe but keep an eye on combos.
Depressants (Benzos/Xanax, Opiates, Ketamine, GHB/GBL): Recovery position so they don't choke on their own vomit. Extreme cases / combining multiple depressants can cause respiratory failure so again, ambulance ASAP.
On the safer drugs like you mentioned, ones where people don't overdose there's no use calling an ambulance, why? because all they do is put the person on fluids and make them sleep it off. That's all they can do, it's a waste of time just calm them down give them a drink and wait for them to fall asleep.
having a really bad time on for example psychedelics can be mentally scarring. I sound like a broken record at this point but I developed health anxiety along with panic attacks which is a first for me after I had my bad trip. knowing how bad a trip can get, I'd definitely call an ambulance if say, my SO started having a really, really bad time and I had no benzos. rather get her to the hospital where they have benzos than sitting out a nightmare that can last for a surprisingly long time
Holy shit man I'm exactly the same. Health anxiety and panic attacks triggered by elevated heart rate ever since I had the worst trip of my life, was also a first for me
man, that sucks. I'm glad I'm not alone though. I get some hefty anxiety too if my heart rate goes up. pretty much anything that makes my body feel "different", like right after eating, when I'm feeling tired or if something aches. I'm hopeful it'll disappear on its own with time tho! I've seen improvements just by putting some time between now and the bad trip and while the anxiety still lingers, I'm a lot less prone to having panic attacks at least. hopefully things are improving for you too. the aftermath of a bad "I'm definitely dying" trip is a bitch to go through
I've heard alcohol can kill an acid trip. Also, I wouldn't classify acid as "safe" (personally), I think your thinking of shroomy doomies.
dumped my O-PCE the other night, while high on it as usual. i just don't have the self control to not take upwards 100mg a day when i have it on me, and 2 grams is a lot of days. i'm kicking myself for dumping it, but i know that's the addict talking. i'm just glad withdrawals are all in the head and not physical.
i guess i have some level of conflict about it because during the days, with a 30 or so mg line in the morning, i was going outside and doing shit, getting shit done with the job search, actually cooking food as opposed to just microwaving shit, and generally feeling good. it is when it gets later, and a few more lines in, that things can get scary. had a couple of short-lived experiences i can only describe as minor psychotic breaks. luckily i didn't descend fully into madness, coming back to reality with the comedown. another experience where i felt just straight up retarded, unable to even speak without all the effort in the world.
i've been doing great besides that. waking up at 7 as opposed to 2pm, feeling more love for myself and the people around me, wanting to get out and see nature, working out. i know i can keep this up on my own, without a crutch.
i was wondering if this was possible, because i've been having panic attacks and difficulty breathing ever since my last acid trip (which was a living nightmare)
Mate and I gave one of our performers a parachute of MDMA bout an hour before he went on stage, reappeared about 10 minutes later and just laid on the floor behind us for a solid 30 minutes. Guy fucking nailed his act.
It's been almost 5 hours since my last bump and I'm now sitting on my laptop drinking gin waiting for the inevitable comedown sleep
The more you describe it, the more you sound like me. I'm the same with eating, working out injuries, aches, pains and such. I also "knew" that I was going to die on that trip, I remember the moment with exact clarity. I've learned to cope with the attacks a lot better, initially they lasted an hour or longer but now they're only 5-10 mins and maybe once or twice a month. Just started taking an SNRI in order to combat the baseline anxiety levels, it's good to know I'm not the only one
haha yup, sounds like we've got a lot of the same issues from our bad trips. I've been wondering if it caused me some mild(?) PTSD due to how vividly I remember it too, it honestly felt like I was going to die that night. on the substance side of things, I agree, I've gotten waay more careful but it has also ruined most of my enjoyment with drugs. there are some things I can take without having a panic attack, mostly stimulants and dissos but even those aren't all that enjoyable anymore due to the extra anxiety. anyway, best of luck to you with your recovery! it honestly is a relief to know that there's other people in this very thread who has the same issues I got after a bad trip. I mean, it sucks that it happens but at the very least there's some comfort to be had to know that it's a normal response to have.
I love weed because it's helping with (or distracting from) my festival blues. It was a lot of fun. There's nothing better than listening to great music with your best friends in a sunny field while you get a bit wavy. I also tried Ket for the frist time which I don't think I'm a fan of. Obviously it's a tranquiliser and a dissociative so it really detaches you from your surroundings (if you have a lot). I didn't like feeling out of it and not present in the current moment, at least while I'm trying to enjoy music at a festival. I think I'll stick with empathogens, psychedelics, and alcohol.
Yeah I've had them for quite a while and haven't seemed to have any issues with degradation.
Why not grab some gelatin capsules? You can get like 100 for £2
What can these be used with exactly?
as far as I know, they're only used for drugs that comes as a powder. just a nice way of getting it into the stomach without tasting the bitter chemicals
Aw, can't be used for DXM then?
I assume DXM is only liquid and is never found as a powder? then yeah, I imagine the capsules / parachute would dissolve long before you try to ingest it
Dang. DXM is fun and easy to get here but it's the worst god damn thing to try to ingest, it's almost unbearable no matter what trick I try.
You can get DXM sold in gel caps in some countries so I imagine it would work.
Might depend on the gel cap strength?
