I would like to see the Mech Warrior books made into films.
Not quite a book, but if they dumbed down some of the confusing stuff, Homestuck would make a great movie
While it would be AMAZING to see, I certainly wouldn't watch it out of fear of losing any semblance of social life. It has to be one of the nerdiest webcomics I could ever think of.
Mortal Engines series by Philip Reeve. They'd be hard to get right, but I don't think its impossible.
Ringworld
I was going to say World War Z, completely forgetting that they are doing it, because after that IMDB plot synopsis...:suicide:

There's like, three
Call of Cthulhu. I know it's been done. But I want it to be done by a good director, fitting actors, and amazing visuals.
or just more H.P Lovecraft movies.
I think Rat in the Walls will make an amazing short
The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
A Series of Unfortunate Events, They need to continue this. I liked the first movie they did with it.
The movie was really, really horrible for fans of the book.
They twisted it around and changed it into something completely different. They even added a happy ending!

On other notes, Mortal Engines would make a good movie, if done right. Though I've heard it's in production, so fingers crossed.
Right now I don't have any other on my mind, I probably only thought of ME because of the recent mention about it.

I think there's more porn in the world than that. :colbert:
Necroscope
I think that the Molly Moon Series would make a cool movie series for kids.
I really love the books. Heyday Films actually has the movie rights, but they don't seem to have gotten around to working on it yet.
I hope that when (if) the film is made, it's popular enough to get a sequel! I'd LOVE to see what actor they would pick to play Primo Cell!
1984
If done well.
But it would probably be done badly.
The Star Wars : Republic Commando books would be a great movie if faithfully adapted. Shame Karen Travvis gave up on the series.
City of Thieves would make an interesting movie I think.
Woman Vs Womaniser 'This is the Book men Do Not Want Women to Read' Should definitely be turned into a movie. Reading the book you feel as if you are actually watching in a movie anyway!

This isn't You tube, you can link things.
Robopocalypse
Zombie Survival Guide.
They could make a informal film from it.
The Name of the Wind
The Wise Man's Fear
Swann's Way

Although, I don't know whether or not you were being sarcastic.
there's been a few movie adaptations of 1984.
The World War series. Alternative history with aliens invading during WWII. Interesting stuff.
This. This so much. I would love to see a well made war/sci-fi drama set on the World War series.

I'm more or less referring to the one released in 1984 with John Hurt and Richard Burton.

Haha, never thought anyone else had read that series. :v:

Cool story, main character is about to off himself and has a gun in his mouth, Death shows up early to take his soul, dude sees death, freaks out, and shoots him. The main character now must take on the job of Death.
The Assassins creed books to go with the game. Ubisoft would do good at it IMO, as they did the special effects in Avatar, that's why they made the game.

The Bartimaeus series would be potentially amazing. Only problem might be how much of it is left to the imagination; that might not translate too well to the screen.
Holes remade
