I hate thick meat like steaks. Sausage is terrible, steak is too thick(i eat some steak, just not the thick kind), and hotdogs are eaten in 2 bites...
Why thick meat?
I'm a Vegetarian but its not like I go up to people and throw paint on peoples meals (That's perfectly good meat that's not going to waste). I can't tolerate eating anything with a face, it reminds me of zombies.

It seems to me that vegetarians only care that something has a face, not that it is a living creature or that it has had to suffer. Because, you know, they regularly eat living creatures. I can understand if you just don't like the taste (which I really think is bullshit because it's a fucking biological imperative to eat meat and you've evolved to love its taste because of that fact), but don't try to say shit like you care about life or whatever. Everything that you can possibly eat has its roots in life, and the only factor that seems to matter to vegetarians is whether or not that life has a face. Delicious salad? More like the delicious mangled remains of some helpless living creatures. You want to be empathetic to the suffering of creatures that have become your food? That's awesome. But don't be a hypocrite.
Why thick meat?
Gets stuck in my teeth, and there is always that one raw piece in it. Also steak is hard for me to swallow, well thick steak.
While reading this thread, I'm eating meat.
If vegetarians don't get protein they aren't eating anything but salad. And are very stupid. Beans, grain, milk, and eggs give you protein. Even if you're a vegan you still have beans and grains to supplement you. If you do it right you're not changing much. [editline]06:24PM[/editline]
That would be fine if all proteins were equal. The fact of the matter is, not all proteins are equal. Soy protein for example, is actually toxic and hampers the production of Testosterone in males. You are changing alot, the source of the food is just as, if not more important than a little chart of nutrient breakdowns.
Eggs are a meat because you're essentially eatting an unborn dead chick
The eggs are unfertilized, they would never hatch anyway.
jesus put meat on the earth for you to eat EAT IT AND ENJOY
I am not crediting Jesus for meat.
Becoming a vegetarian is a stupid, ignorant, unhealthy, hypocritical choice. And don't even get me started on vegans.
Stop being mean page 10
Stop being mean page 10
Fine, I'll be the Standard Deviation.
That took me like 7 seconds to understand.
I have nothing against people that choose to be vegetarian. I have a problem when they start criticizing me because I choose to be as nature (yes, that thing they like to preach about) intended me to be, that is, an omnivore. And no, being vegetarian is not healthier, unless you really believe that flooding your body with the pills that you need to stop yourself from shriveling up and dying is healthy. tl;dr: You say animals should be free to be animals. Omnivorous animals eat other animals. Humans are omnivorous animals. Therefore humans should eat animals. As nature intended.
My friend is a Vegetarian.
ITT: People who don't actually know much about nutrition making statements they don't know are true. (Both sides probly)

I hate stakes, they are always hard to chew and raw in some parts.
I hate stakes, they are always hard to chew and raw in some parts.
Are you by any chance, a Vampire?
I went hunting on sunday. I'm going again on saturday. I'm going to eat me some vension.
i once was a vegetarian... but then i ate meat
Being a veggie for the reason of "don't hurt the animals" is about as pointless and stupid as it gets. You being alive, at any time, anywhere, helps kill animals, every-time you exhale, you help kill them. Shit, you have living germs and other things on and inside of your body, which you kill off everyday. You want to know the best way to stop? Launch yourself into space, and fly into a star, because being dead is the only way you will ever truly stop helping the suffering of animals. Also, like other people have said, plants are alive too, to say they don't feel anything is a lack of understanding, just because we can't necessarily prove they don't feel anything, doesn't mean they can't. On the whole, I think most veggies like the idea of being on a holy crusade on the evil that is...everyone else, when it's probably the poorest excuse for a crusade you could have.

We may not have the technology to prove it now, but sooner or later we will and by that time, I'd like to see what these ridiculous bunnymen have to say about it... "Ohh but back then, 300 years ago when the veganism movement started, we didn't have the means or technology to know that, so we don't care about it, we'll keep eating vegetables!"
OP, would you still be allowed to have the beloved horse pop?
Yeah I think I have seen a cucumber here.
@OP. Say "vegetarian" or "vegan". When I hear "veggie" or "vegetable" I think of the mentally disabled. Thus, your post made me lol.

Plus, whether or not to be a dick is up to them. I for one really don't like talking about my vegetarianism, but people are surprisingly understanding (or at least polite) most of the time. [editline]11:50AM[/editline] Also at pretacrueitneitoshitnetio and axxnanamamaxzzzmama: Plants definitely don't have feelings or pain because for those you need a brain and plants don't have brains. Neither do members of domain archea, domain bacteria, or protists
Not eating animals may cause them to overpopulate, thus under-populating the animals they eat, thus over-populating the animals they eat, etc. etc. etc. Thank you vegetarians for not understanding how a chain works. That's my argument, I don't really care, I like chicken. Also, protein is good for you.
