how is it hypocritical it taste nice
"Im a vegetarian, I don't eat meat - But here.. I'll gnaw on this tastey fake meat instead".
It's not really hypocrtical per-se, but it's just kinda weird that a veggie refuses to eat meat, but eats the fake versions instead.
I mean, I understand the concept but I prefer just eating foods completely unlike meats and I love pasta anyway so I stick to making epic variations of pasta dishes and stuff.
Also, most vegetarians I know are nice except for this one chick who bitches when people eat meat.
No, you got it all wrong. In Sweden there is enough room to take excellent care of pigs, but in smaller countries like Denmark there isn't.
Dohohoho, you have no idea how wrong you are.

Being a vegetarian seems like it would be hard, but good luck.
Also, I'm adding vegetarians to the list of things Facepunch hates right next to furries and non-atheists.
and apparently people who got the Swine-Flu vaccine and people who believe in global warming. Or people who don't.
Nuclear power is very efficient and safe what the fuck are you on about?
With a responsible staff, combined with a ton of failsafe mechanisms, such as is standard in nuclear energy production now, it's virtually impossible to cause a catastrophic metldown.
Nuclear energy is much more efficient than renewable energy, and the waste output to power output is very minuscule at worst.
For an activist, you sure are close-minded.
There still isn't a solution to what they're going to do with the waste. It costs a lot to run a nuclear power plant and we don't need any. Renewable energy hasn't really got a chance to shine and they won't if the parliamentary is too conservative (ner med alliansen!).
I'm not going to tell the story of my life, but I can assure you that I know what I'm talking about. If I don't, I'm not going to talk. My views are very subjective even when I'm trying to be neutral. I'm not trying to convince or convert anyone, I'm just adding to the discussion. And (I hate beginning sentences with "and") there really isn't any need to add an insult/attack/highlight at the end of a post. It only blurs the rest of your post.

That is where the waste goes, until it is suitable for re-use once more.
[editline]04:07PM[/editline]
In the US that is.

Never heard of it before. Well I stand corrected.

And it has nothing to do with the size of the country. We got lots of laws against packing animals in cruel conditions (They're still crowded, but not as much as, lets say.. Denmark). They have hay to lie down on, and they can actually move in the box, instead of being stuck in the same position for their whole life

Does it matter? It's thousands of feet undergrounds in a tomb of concrete and steel.
Humans are not built to eat just veg, we can't digest fibre but herbivores can
ok thanks

AFAIK, EU have made laws, ensuring the animals have a healthy environment, while they are alive, or being transported.
Also what happened last time we had a green is good thread: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=784166

why does everyone break my automerfgeeeeerfghjmfd
Yeah, humans don't have the ability to digest fiber, and therefore are not suited to being herbivores. If we had that ability, we could pull it off.

fiber's indigestibility is why it's good for you; it helps you pass other food
true story
I've been tempted to try being vegetarian strictly for health reasons before
not eating meat because of morality is dumb

And nuclear-fuel has had an opportunity to shine. :colbert:
(At least for mainstream power)
Fiber's indigestibility is good for you in that case, for some reasons.
However, it does mean you can't get any nutrients in it.

If you're too embarrassed to post right here that you've converted to being an omnivore again after seeing this, you can just PM me with your thanks.
I don't really care about vegetarians, it's vegans that are mostly the idiots.
We are designed to eat meat, also I've heard those special Vegan meals are pretty expensive. Stuff like Soya meat or something.
Any fags on FP?
.
Whenever my Dad nags me about me eating meat, my main argument is "I'll eat whatever I want.".
Whenever my Dad nags me about me eating meat, my main argument is "I'll eat whatever I want.".
That's a statement, not an arguement.
Yeah, an argument would be:
I am my own person, therefore I can eat whatever I want.
Another argument I'd use, but there's things now to supplement these dietry requirements, yes, once-upon-a-time we'd have to eat it to give us what we need, but that's no longer the case.
So then stop eating vegetables too. Vegetables come from a living thing and by killing it you harm it. You can just replace the nutrients with dietary supplements.
