I miss bad reading. You literally quoted the point I was trying to make and still call it "horrifying". If you truly think being called a racist or a sexist is horrifying then just stop making racist or sexist posts.
Fair enough, maybe I overreacted a bit. I still think that these threads turn into a shitflinging contest more often than not and that people are often labelled unfairly, but I suppose that just comes with the territory given these threads would attract that kind of discussion.

Gonna be brutally honest here and say that attempts by people who want to play Debate Moderator to sidetrack discussion into a pedantic debate about language isn't helping.

I suppose I did derail the thread a bit, sorry. I'll stop.
What I can tell that all of this has amounted to is that neither side can or should take 100% of the blame, and that we need vigilante super heroes to watch over public places in case of rape/weirdos.
But seriously, as an outsider to all of this, it's not fair to say, "You wore that outfit to the bar?! No wonder you were nearly raped!" and it's not fair to say, "I should wear whatever I want when I go out and not have to worry about weirdos attacking me or molesting me! People should know not to do that to me!"
You can't expect there not to be assholes because they do exist. You can affect your own chances of being a victim by taking certain measures, and you should.

but the point is that rapists are probably going to come after you regardless of what you're wearing. a skimpier dress isn't really going to make the dude attempting to sexually assault you any less of a psychopath
