I stopped watching TV in general when CN went to crap, except for the occasional Simpsons, but even thats going to crap. Nowadays I only watch stuff on Netflix
Family Guy, American Dad, and Robot Chicken are what keep me watching TV.

You have to deal with it. You can never stick to the pass.
maybe it gets tiresome to watch the same episodes over and over and over again? I remember all the episodes from every cartoon on CN pretty much cause I already saw them from before it sounds like the guy in the video is saying that the shows were canceled to be replaced by new ones to match this gen. I think of it more like they were aired to death so they had to find something new. CN doesn't even make cartoons AFAIK so maybe we need "better" cartoon artists instead I like the old ones better than the new ones mostly, but I don't like this CN whine crap either
They still show Ed, Edd and Eddy so meh But it died when they Canceled adult swim in Australia (2007) and moved it to the Comedy Channel, no one knows why maybe because it was a little bit stupid for it to be held in the "Kids and family" section of Foxtel, now there is plans to make it its own channel which is the first block to ever get a channel, if I'm right? [editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
Boomerang has most of the Cartoon Cartoon originals. You guys should be grateful you were there when the golden days of CN was still there, most of the kids of this generation will be watching trash.
Heh you haven't seen Boomerang Australia yet, haven't you?
I remember the day that they announce that Edd, Ed, and Eddy was to be canceled. :smith:
i genuinely will try to have my kids watch old nickelodean shows/cartoon network shows on netflix
I think that Adventure Time and Regular Show are signs of some hope, but I don't think Cartoon Network will ever become a network for cartoons only. Still on. I watch it all the time after school, same thing with Courage the Cowardly dog. Occasionally I'd see a Dexter's Lab episode.
i miss Evil Con Came mostly though i havent see that show in years
I just wish they where more open to the classic cartoons, and that they add some decent cartoons that are fun to watch, i mean all cartoons of Cartoon Network classic could be enjoyed by kids and adults. Good times..
Toonami, 1990s, DBZ That is all Stopped watching CN in 2001 so I missed out on all the garbage. Every once in a while while Im channel surfing Ill take a gander and immediately turn away from CN because of all the shitty shows. Also Adult Swim sucks, to many retarded shows like "Super Jail" or "Tim and Eric". Terrible shows, terrible programming, and if you enjoy this nonsense you should feel terrible.
Wow I remember watching Mike, Lu & Og and Sheep in the Big City. I always wondered what happened to them. Now I kind of feel sad.
discovery channel is the most entertaining channel out there.
Yeah, I mean, at least Discovery has Mythbusters.
i stopped subscribing to cn after all the new shit. i remember how funny it was watching that red devil guy in cow and chicken bounce on his ass.
I love these cartoons like all of you guys, but the hating on all of the new shows is annoying. These shows aren't directed at us, the older generation, they are directed to entertain little kids. The reason you think your shows are so much superior is because we grew up watching them. I remember my parents hating on my cartoons and saying that stuff like Looney Tunes is better. I know lots of kids that like these new shows on CN and Nick, and if the kids like the shows then they aren't bad cartoons in my eyes.

I have a little brother and after showing him ed edd n eddy and courage he agrees with me that his shows suck.
i miss Evil Con Came and Billy and Mandy
I love the name Evil Con Carne Evil with meat :v:
That was a pretty depressing video.
Powerpuff girls were the one show all the boys rejected ever watching. But they all did
I think a piece of me just died. Again.
I will never forget the day Toonami ended, it was the moment when I realized that someday I would die as well. "Stay gold...Bang!" "No...NO...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Edit: More thread music

Dexter's Lab was easily my favorite
You know, the next generation of Cartoon Network nostalgics will have videos exactly like this, but for all the new shows when they eventually get cancelled.
You know, the next generation of Cartoon Network nostalgics will have videos exactly like this, but for all the new shows when they eventually get cancelled.
Are you saying 10 years from now there is going to be a thread about people who misse hanna mantanna and total drama whatever? god I hope not.
The thing is though, We grew up with these Shows, so they're obviously going to be irreplaceable for us.
I think they are doing the same thing with Toy Story.
The final scene hit this troper especially hard when he realized that even though Pixar have always considered their films to be for any age (and not in the family fodder way), Toy Story 3 in particular was probably designed for the fans of the series who saw the first two in theatres; by now, these people have grown up and moved on from their own children's toys. The first two films opened internal monologues about what exactly happens to a toy and what it feels when it is discarded, abandoned or sold off for collector's value. Andy's monologue at the end of the film was Pixar answering their fans directly, stating that it's okay to eventually let go, because we and the people and things we love and hold dear to us will all find a loving home again. It was also, in this troper's opinion, one of the most beautiful send offs for for a cast of characters in the history of celluloid.
Thread Music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzSR_TFMirs
