I should probably post this in this thread too to quell some of the blind hatred people are spitting. Informed hatred is better than nothing I guess.

*responding to some other guy* hate to break it to you "bro"you're behind the curve massively, from a social and political stand point. When women have more rights than a house cat in the middle east and major islamic countries, is when ill stop saying you guys are 100 years behind the rest of world.
This wasn't always the case, but it's a sweeping generalization that keeps on going. History time! Iran in the '70s before the Iranian Revolution brought things back to archaic fundamentalism was a very modern and westernized country where women were able to dress and do as they pleased, at least until Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's rule became an extremely oppressive regime to stifle slight opposition to his practices and shit got cray . For a long while women were allowed to work on their own, go to university without issue, and pursue the arts. Afghanistan during the 60's followed in the same vein. Women may have been required to wear hijab's, but that largely holds true today in modern countries. There was still a push towards modernism you would find in Japan in the 1870's. The issue doesn't lie with the text of the religion itself, it lies with the absolute implementation of archaic rhetoric that hasn't adapted to modern views. There hasn't been a chance for fundamentalist branches of Islam to sway much with the tide of time in certain areas due the consequences of the Islamic revival's denouncement of westernization and the rise of extremist factions with military power. The Mujahideen and the Iranian rebels both stand as examples of this. To clarify, the Iranian revolution sparked a future of hatred for the U.S and Britain ("the west"), as the Shah's violent and oppressive behavior was declared the fault of pushes from westernization. When you see the monopolies the guy handed to the west as he went batshit, you can see why. The Mujahideen from the russian campaign in Afghanistan who ended up controlling the country after the war would likely not have fallen into archaic fundamentalism, but as Charlie Wilson put it, "We fucked up the endgame". We helped arm the Mujahideen then failed to help them build schools, access to water, and modern infrastructure. Tl;dr :
I agree, it has really destroyed the view that a lot of people have on Islam, yet it is the culture that these countries have rather than religion. I'm happy my culture isn't like that at all.
Pretty much this. All modern abrahamic religions fall into a context where they have made concessions to adapt to society over time as they haven't met nearly as much of an association with a lack of personal well-being. Islam hasn't had that luxury. When people the hateful parts of the bible, there's usually a push to ignore those bits. It's harder to ignore those bits if you've grown up in an area which has been based on faith due to an older conflict declared to be caused by western influences pushing people away from their religious history and traditions. I have family who specialize in counter-insurgency, so yeah. /rant Iran in the '70s: http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/02/15/once_upon_a_time_in_tehran (might require an account) http://www.pagef30.com/2009/04/iran-in-1970s-before-islamic-revolution.html Afghanistan in the '60s: http://www.thevine.com.au/life/news/photos-of-afghanistan-in-the-60s/gallery/2

I had a friend who commented on Bro Team's facebook post, he was saying that he was a little offended. Every one just started ripping on him. This was pretty funny though, I really don't see why people get offended when something like this comes up, it's a joke for fuck sake. I'm Hindu and whenever someone talks shit about something with regards to my religion/culture, I just laugh it off. People make a big deal out of nothing, in my opinion.
People angry at heart will find something to be angry at, no matter what that is. Their religion is just a good excuse.
Anyone know what that game that appears at 22 seconds is?
blade kitten maybe
Is the original Tokyo Jungle video still up?
if i say: FUCK MOHAMMED HE'S A PIGFUCKER. Now THAT would get be banned. <--- Would get me banned.
Yeah, for predicting moderation.
Is the original Tokyo Jungle video still up?
It was The Last of Us video, and yeah it is.
Amazing how peaceful they are. Bro Team will probably find this amusing.
Some of the comments are great though, yesterday I read one saying something like: "We will hack your channel and kill you American pig, Islam is religion of peace and security" These people manage to contradict themselves every second with their "religion of peace"
Some of the comments are great though, yesterday I read one saying something like: "We will hack your channel and kill you American pig, Islam is religion of peace and security" These people manage to contradict themselves every second with their "religion of peace"
Maybe to them those are just buzzwords and they don't really know what they mean :v:
Just to clear away the shitstorm, the Bro Team don't have anything against a particular group, it's just a persona for the videos?

What was the game when it flashed "molyneux lies"?
Just to clear away the shitstorm, the Bro Team don't have anything against a particular group, it's just a persona for the videos?
No it's one guy that just insults everyone and everything and yells a lot.
Holy shit the comments are like a bunch of whiny children :v:
His twitter feed is full of gold
I love how he added an apostrophe before the s for no reason.
Because they are the ones that freak the fuck out the most. Go point at a rabbit and say HEY THAT'S JESUS or HEY THAT'S BUDDAH or HEY THAT'S GOD and nobody gives a singular fuck. Point at anything and go HEY THAT'S MUHAMMED and a larger scale incident occurs, as seen by the comment section, mass dislikes and reaction videos.
Don't forget that the countries are completely different and people in/from middle eastern countries would see western humour differently. Bashing/hating on/making fun of Muslims does not help anyone.
Even the not so crazy Muslims are a bit strange, a Malaysian (Muslim) woman on my news feed posted a quote from the Koran saying how Allah made the haze over Malaysia and Singapore to kill non believers or some shit. But I can also imagine a lot of Catholics saying the same thing. Religion nutters.
Internet vs Muslims. Gogogogogogo. Looks like it's going that way anyway.
Also, according to the Quran one of the signs of the end of the world is women having authority. Gives you some insight.
uhh its not there is nothing in the quran about the signs of the end of the world it only say what happen mohammad said the signs and he never mention about women gaining authority being a sign
According to the guy's twitter, his old Skype account got hacked. One can say it's not connected to this... debacle.
@BroTeamPill omar_-_505 hacked your Skype it seems.

Stuff like this genuinely confuses me, Why don't these people just deal with it like everyone else? It's incredibly arrogant to act like someone defacing your religion is more important than everyone elses. Not to mention everyone retaliating with "FUCK YOU SAND NIGGERS" probably doesn't help much and just gives them more reason to be offended and keep making dumb-ass threatening videos like they're mohammad's lawyer or something.
Somewhat related (quite NSFW): http://www.theonion.com/articles/no-one-murdered-because-of-this-image,29553/ I never understood the violent fanaticism against depicting, insulting, etc, Muhammed.
uhh its not there is nothing in the quran about the signs of the end of the world it only say what happen mohammad said the signs and he never mention about women gaining authority being a sign
I was raised a Muslim and I can confirm that it is true.
I like how muslims think everyone is american
I like how muslims think everyone is american
Let's be honest, when there's negative news about the West most people think its about American's.
