Firefox isn't that great anymore. All the other browser have caught on to the magic. I use firefox and I'm getting kind of sick of it tbh.
Yeah really, when I switched to Chrome a while ago I thought I'd miss the extensive customization options and addons in Firefox but looking back they just made the whole experience more cumbersome.
Chrome with a few extensions is all I need.
Still using Opera like a hipster :v:
.. Although I always need to switch browser to use Battlelog, or play Quake Live.
Fun fact: None of the posters so far used internet explorer.

So I guess this guy was effective.
Also, it's not as easy to deinstall IE as you might think.

At control panel/software, there is no IE, so you can't deinstall there, actually deinstalling it, is quite hard.

It's going to take a lot more than a funny advertisement to get me to switch from my beloved Chrome, especially considering I use both OS X and Windows on a regular basis and using IE would lead to browser inconsistency.

As much as you guys love to take the piss about this, it's most likely a very conscious decision made by someone directing the commercial.
All of you understood that he was removing internet explorer. I'd argue all of you would have understood that even if you had only basic understanding of computers.
If however he went to some god forsaken depths of the control panel to uninstall it all of the technically impaired people would have been completely baffled.
It's there to make the less technically savvy people capable of following the flow of the commercial better. That way they'll get the message that "it's okay to use IE again" which is what the commercial is all about.
It's a funny commercial, but the only argument I hear for using IE now is a desperate "We can do better, look!"
Sorry, IE. You're just not my cup of tea.

Like I said, impossible to delete ie with the control panel

MS pre-HTML 5: IE and ActiveX is better than everything else, look at how innovative we are!
MS post-HTML 5: HTML 5 is the future, look at how innovative we are!
I had to make a switch to IE as my main browser, Chrome isn't my favourite anymore because whenever I click the "list" button on posts, redirects me back to the Facepunch homepage which now bothers me.
Sure Internet Explorer may be shit, but it's still speedy enough for me.
But IE 9 is my second best browser to use in my opinion though. Don't rate me dumb's or disagrees its just an opinion,
This is nothing but absolutist yellow dog propaganda perpetrated by Microsoft. They portray the man who is against the mainstream flow as a sociopathic pariah when in reality, he is absolutely right. IE is and never was a good browser. And yes, I've tried IE 9. It does less than half the things that Chrome or Firefox can do. Microsoft knows that it's browser is horrible, so all they can do now is release muckraking films like this to show how people who don't use IE think. They are trying to implement this totalitarian bullshit into your brains.

Look at how many people are still using IE. That's a little less half of the total. You'd think Microsoft would be satisfied with that number, but no. They want that to increase to 100%. It's sickening. They want to absolutely dominate the browser market. There will be more films like this that will come out in the future. Don't let them get the better of you. Keep your mind free of this capitalist shit, man.
Educate yourself. Oppress the system and put the IE shortcut in the recycling bin. Fight the powers that be and end this reign of tyranny.

I feel dirty using IE, besides firefox has everything i need with easy customization.
"better browser + cute cat = time to reconsider"
i can see that being proposed at the board meeting
That cat isn't cute, it looks like it would be the type of cat that would create the situation of coming home from a hard day of work hoping to cuddle your precious new cat just to see a big pile of feline feces on your pillow.

OKAY GUYS, WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE INTERNET?
"Uh...they like cats?"
BRILLIANT, YOU'RE HIRED
"I already work here sir"
WELL THEN YOU'RE FIRED.
Looks a lot like chrome.

IE's major problem now is that it's still using the archaic major-version model that every other browser has dropped. Chrome and Firefox are cranking out new features virtually every month while IE crawls along releasing a new version maybe every year or two
From watching the video I decided to install IE9 and give it a chance.
As soon as I opened it 3 ads popped up then it crashed...
Back to the recycling bin you go.
