My cat disappeared + other cats getting hurt in my neighborhood

Here's what i'd suggest you:
1. Call Police
2. Call Animal Control
3. Keep Your Cats Home Temporary And Same For Your Neightbors
And if you want to take action yourself more then perhaps this could do the job:
1. While following a first plan buy a realistic plush cat
2. Get speakers to play sound aswell
3. Around the time of 1 AM place him somewhere along with hidden speakers
4. Play from speakers meowing noise
5. More than likely the culprit will show up near the cat (As long as you informed your cat owning neightbors about this plan then they won't interefere nor look for source of sound, informing neightbors who don't own cat could be too risky since one of them might be culprit. I myself doubt that somebody who loves cats like me and you and aswell owns one would want to injure them.)
6. If culprit shows up then perhaps from your location try to identify him and see if you reconize him?
I would literally camp on my roof with my 20's Springfield, I wouldn't hesitate to put someone like this in a wheelchair.
I know it sounds stupid, but I am really protective about cats, and if I found a person who harmed my cat, or a cat I had liked, I would rack their arms in a way that it would never heal.
That way you both end up in prison for trying to prove how dangerous you are. Seems like a good plan.
A year or so ago I wake up to my doorbell ringing. It was my neighbor. She told me that my cat is in their house with a broken jaw. It was like turned 45 degrees.
So I'm thinking, it was probably not a car that did that, because then my cat would be dead, so maybe he wandered into the territory of someone mad.
So that's the only time it happened.
I hope everything turns out ok, OP. Love them kitties
I was once out walking and i saw a cat that was literally ripped in half, but i live in an area that has bobcats and cyotes so....
I wonder how people can be so fucking cruel to animals sometimes. My uncle's neighbor found her cat in her yard, sans legs, and still alive. She had to have the cat put down because it was in agony and would never have a normal life. She said it was definitely a person who did it as the cat's legs had been cut off and not torn off. Unfortunately the son of a bitch that did it never got caught.
Thanks everyone for tips! I'm surely taking notes.
My cat sure experienced some mental trauma. Because it doesn't want to eat and it rarely drinks.
Normally when I have have he almost crawls up to my knee to snatch it. Now he doesn't even show interest nor the poor thing actually wants to chew. He sometimes starts licking a piece of the ham but then loses interest in it again and it continues it's everlasting sleep.
He might have fought with way older cats since my cat is only 9 months old.
Aw. I hate hearing negative stories about animals, but I'm pleased there's a happy ending to this(sorta?)
Hope your lil guy starts feeling better, man!
If I ever get a cat, it's not leaving the house ever.
my cat is an inside cat, the furthest she'll go even if she wants to is on the concrete in the back yard by the door if we leave it open
judging from this thread alone as well as the countless messed up stories i've heard in the past i think it's the right decision

Had this problem with my cat a couple of weeks ago with the same problems. Turned out he only had an infection and was given tablets to remedy it and he's fine and dandy now.

I grew up with outdoor pets, my first cat was an African wildcat that strolled up to the house one day, but while I intend to get another cat (no pets at the moment) there's no way I'll be letting it outside. Not only are they at substantial risk for being abused or even just hit by cars, but they're also considered an invasive species that can be heavily damaging to the local ecosystem, and I don't want to deal with the stress and worry when it doesn't come home one night and it turns out it just didn't feel like coming home that night. It's just not worth it. Get a cat, keep it indoors, make sure to play with it and give it the attention it needs.
Can't see the pictures
We thought our male cats were fighting with other cats due to them being horny bastards and they haven't been circumcised yet
Please don't get your cat circumcised.
Jesus christ I have a cat and reading this stuff is terrifying. I'm really glad he likes staying outdoors.
O.o
I feel you bro. My cats are strictly indoors only, though, but my friends and relatives have had cats that went out and never came back.
One of mine was rescued because he was a litter runt and was abandoned, and we picked him up from across the street. Now there's like 15 black cats like him in the neighborhood, and I do firmly believe if anyone tried some shit they would murder him.
I live in a cat ghetto.
Something weird happen to me awhile ago.
Came home from work one day and found the legs and tail of a cat in my yard.
Two days later, the top half of the cat and a bag of cat food was in my yard.
Setup cameras that day and have been on 24/7 surveillance.
That's just plain fucking scary. Are there any followups on this incident?
And OP I'm sorry to hear that, but your pictures are down and I don't know what I'm supposed to see. What condition is he in, besides complications from the rain? Just curious since weird things have been happening apparently.

After I put cameras and a security light up, nothing has happened since.
I left a bat by the door just in case anyways.
As far as I know, the thing that did it, hasn't bothered to return.
I lost my cat last week.
People who kill animals I strongly believe are also going to eventually attempt to kill other people. I'd definitly keep an eye out and if your an american id be lock n loading your pea shooter.. right about now..
Where does OP live?
So I can stay the fuck away
Keep us updated; wish you lots of luck/strength
Nekomata will take his revenge don't worry.
People who hurt animals are the lowest of the low.
OP, sending well wishes for your cat to heal soon and the fucker who hurt it to be be hit by karma and locked up.
