like yeah sure only playing Skyrim with half of the Switch's controller is an option, in the same way that throwing your keyboard out the window and using just a mouse is. Mario Kart only needs half the controller's inputs and it supports using each half as its own controller, Skyrim needs all of them and doesn't.

Yeah it's a stupid fucking way to play Skyrim but it's not how you're supposed to and probably couldn't play it like that even if you wanted to because it's literally using just half of the full controller.
