I used to draw in highschool but I gave that up for music because I was better at it, but now I wish I still did it. Maybe I'd go back, but I was never very good because I never took it seriously. You know the first thing I would draw would be dergs

Why not both? Its a long term investment if you do it in your spare time starting off with no artistic talent like me (Only EE talent). I just doodled in my spare time for years and only now am I up to decent levels of anthro.
And definitely post some WIPs of your game, I'd be interested.

I'm a mapper of 6 years who just got back to doing traditional art and haven't run into a problem. If anything, it's helped my mapping because I run into fewer creativity blocks. If I'm tired of one task, I switch to the other.

I feel like I have [i]negative[/i] artistic talent. At least when drawing by hand. But you're probably right, and it's just a matter of practice.
As for the game, not much to show for now. Working on engine stuff. But the prototype I made was pretty fun--a 3D flight simulator with realistic controls, except you're a dragon.
I like the idea of a relaxing game where you just explore an island. Hunt. Practice flying. Watch the sun set. Chase birds. I have no idea what the actual objective would be, though.
Now that the Witch is dead, we can post dergs.

Thing is with fluffy dragons is that it also kinda plays on recent dinosaur-oriented theories, namely that some dinos were believed to have had feathers and the like. Which considering the cooling climate of the late Cretaceous would have made sense for such mutations to have been favoured by natural selection in regions nearer the poles.
