You really got me thinking about the physics of dragon flight.
(here's an interesting article though it might crush your imagination so... you've been warned. https://sites.google.com/site/anthonysgurps/dragon-physics )
So dragons have a second set of pectoralis major muscles underneath the main pair and attached more to the side than the front of the rib cage?
Well, if that's what produces the flapping motion... I feel like it should connect higher up on the wing limb. Latissimus dorsi looks about right though. But those are some very large deltoids? Also, the chest bulges like a crest (It's pretty much found in all birds, but that's for their main pectoralis major muscles that they use to flap their wings. On a dragon, wouldn't they be connected to their arms? Idk. I haven't thought this one through, and I'm not sure about wing muscles on a dragon skeleton.)
(And yes, I did go through the trouble of memorizing most superficial muscles of the human body in their latin names...)
I really should do more research >.>

You can never have too many books (unless you run out of space).
Also, have any of you read Out of Position or any furry novels for that matter?

I fucking love these series, just pre-ordered the fourth book Uncovered.
And here's a derg.

Out of Position is great apart from when you're reading it in public and turn a page and there's a tiger dick in one of the illustrations Blotch drew for the book.
It happened to me on a plane and I don't know if anyone saw.

Kyell gold is a pretty good writer. I'm a fan of the novels and I buy them on Kindle since it's just a really stupid idea to read that shit in public.
I read it for the football and the behind the scenes stuff, don't really care much for the occasional sex scenes and they start to get shorter as the series goes on.
I'm reading the third book, I think i'm pretty far into it or I finished it, don't really remember. Reading that and Bridges.
I really like Bridges so far it's got some good characterization.

Usually you would think that a furry romance novel would be utter trash but from everything I've heard about them they're actually really decent works of literature
This isn't exactly a dragon or even a reptile but I made it as my final for my Advanced Modeling class and I want to share it with someone

The pose is weak because I had to pose it in one day and I couldn't figure out how to move the vertices of multiple objects at once in Maya.

Hi guys, I have not been on Facepunch in a really long time. I used to frequent in this thread quite a bit.. Now I have to catch back up.. :3!

If your using Maya and havent already, go look at some stuff on rigging models, you can just attach the armor and such to the same skeleton as the rest of the model so it moves with it and viola, all the poses you could ever want (and animations)
Pretty damn fine work though, it might not look like it but christ when I was learning to model in Maya getting stuff to actually form the shapes you wanted and to look decently smooth takes time to learn so kudos for sticking with it and not jumping ship to become a programmer like I did :v:

My friend bought this, left it at my house by accident when he went back to Sydney. My mum found it and wanted to read it.
Needless to say I put it in the mail and sent it off to my friend that day.
You should've let her read it

Just don't break it. A guy on reddit was reading the book when he stepped on his Kindle and it got stuck on a very misfortunate page.

Just came back from the theather
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Loved it all! <3
[sp] Rip Stoick, you were a great leader :c
Also Toothless black blue skinned was awesome!
And Cloudjumper is such an awesome dragon aswell, loved how both interact each other.
For a second i thought that they'd leave a cliffhanger of the movie for the third part after they burned down Stoick's ship. [/sp]

It depends on the authors. There's a lot of trash in it as per typically any other thing and you have to sorta learn how to filter it out. K.M. Hirosaki is a good writer and one of the best stories to me is this one.

Honestly I'm a follower of him and he has a podcast that actually has a lot of interesting writing tips.
Are there any good furry novels out there that aren't sexually explicit and actually have a reason to be furry novels beyond "oh look they're animals instead of humans how cute"?
Are there any good furry novels out there that aren't sexually explicit and actually have a reason to be furry novels beyond "oh look they're animals instead of humans how cute"?
Essentially, no?
There isn't much reason to have a character who's a furry. Also, authors should justify why some characters appear vastly different from their peer, adding backstory (which should affect the character's decisions later, maybe even be why the story exists as an essential plot element). Personally, I can't really think of many reasons to justify why someone is an anthropomorphic animal.
But the main problem is that most people will see it as "oh look they're animals instead of humans how cute" instead of an actual novel. It's really a lost cause, imo.
I am not cute.
I am fire, I am DEATH. >:I
