It's a fish eater. That thing never would have killed a T-rex, it's not built for combat. Look at the difference in snouts. The t-rex's Jaw is designed to bite and crush with extreme force, the jaw mucles are short and massive. The Spinosaurus has a long snout for picking fish out of a lake. Likewise with the teeth. The spinosaurus had conical teeth, whereas the T-rex had teeth designed to cut and tear. The difference in bite force alone would be astronomical, the T-rex would've been the one snapping the neck of the spinosaurus, not the other way around.
blah blah blah blah everyone knows the t-rex is a pussy-ass scavenger. I think you're 12 because you compare dinosaurs to each other as you would Pokemon.
fu pokemon will also always be cool
blah blah blah blah everyone knows the t-rex is a pussy-ass scavenger
Yes, a biased theory brought forth by Horner because he was angry about finding nothing but T-Rex fossils when he wanted Hadrosaurs. Reasons for his theory: T-Rex had a very very powerful bite capable of crushing bone and strong rounded teeth to match, supposedly to get to the hard to reach areas of a carcass. Large olfactory sense. Supposedly couldn't move past a walking pace because it might fall and hurt itself. Problems with all of these: Hyenas also have very powerful jaws that can crush the bones of their prey, but they will both scavenge and hunt prey of their own. Alligators also have bone crushing jaws, they eat turtles, T-Rex lived in a time where herbivores were armouring themselves against being eaten or just being so god damn dangerous that having such powerful jaws would allow them to dispatch their prey quicker. Another example of powerful jaws is the Alligator Snapping Turtle, which lies in ambush before striking. MANY Predators have a large olfactory sense, it is their swiss army knife used to identify eachother and locate food, living or dead. Human beings can also fall and be KILLED by falling, so can Elephants and Giraffes, yet Humans make a sport out of it and Elephants and Giraffes do it just because they can. Birds can also be killed from falling out of mid air, yet they do that too. Killer Whales can be killed by beaching themselves while attacking Seals on a beach, yet they do that too. Doesn't matter if it can't make it past 10 miles per hour, that's enough to ambush an animal who is also multi-ton in weight. I have no doubt that T-Rex did scavenge, but it wasn't a giant vulture, there are few if any pure scavengers in nature.
Great films, my personal favorite is nr 1.
Congrats you've just been announced as the dumbest person on the face of the planet.
no YOU did!
I love the first two and still like the third one despite what most of you guys are saying. The bit in number three with the spinosaurus coming out the of the river is awesome.
Damn, this thread made me re-watch the first 2 films... Still awesome of course. Now I'm going to mentally prepare myself for watching the third, with a little luck I might make it through.
I love Jurassic Park, hell it's my favorite movie of all time. I never did like the second one though, and the third was ok.
JP3 isn't a bad movie, it's just a bad JP movie
JP3 isn't a bad movie, it's just a bad JP movie
so its like how even though temple of doom is a bad indiana jones movie, its still leaps and bounds ahead of other bad movies but temple of doom is still pretty awful
I like temple of doom but only because of how needlessly over-the-top it is.
Even if it contains one of the biggest continuity errors in film, the T-Rex break out scene is so fucking cool even today that I can't help but not give a shit about the magical cliff.
I've been having this bookmarked ever since, glad I finally get to use it: http://www.jplegacy.org/home.php?load=jurassicpark/ffjpking.shtml Enjoy the read.
So wait, what does that page prove? I read it and I think it's saying that the cliff was always there, it's just awkwardly sequenced with bad camera angles so the cliff appears to come out of nowhere. m i rite?

It just proposes an alternative and tries to back it up with a series of pointless observations. Okay, there's a high voltage sign, and it doesn't move. What's this proving?
I love the whole series of films, The Lost World had the best Velocirpters, In the original and three they were oversized, and to be honest in three, the Spinosaurus would have never managed to defeat a T-rex, as they were fish eaters, thats why they had thouse long mouths. I have to say how Malcoms Ego change between the original and two could have been from the events of the original. But they are truley great films, but they do need Speilberg, and if a fourth on is to be made then he should come back. I was actualy discusted when I watched the advertisment for three on my video (Old piece of tech that) when the people had no idea what they were on about.
Jurassic park is a fucking classic.
Aaaahaaa !

Ah hell, I saw this movie when I was a kid!
Ah hell, I saw this movie when I was a kid!
thats like saying "no way! i breathe too!"

This was my first movie ever(at 2 years old) and my favorite so far. I don't care what the critics say, I loved the trilogy.
I've been having this bookmarked ever since, glad I finally get to use it: http://www.jplegacy.org/home.php?load=jurassicpark/ffjpking.shtml Enjoy the read.
Interesting, but I've got something to say about this:
Next, we have the shot of the rex leaving the fence. Notice the distance between the tour cars. This is slightly misleading. It looks like the cars are closer together and that the rex is right on top of the first car, but this is because of camera angle, the camera lens, and how the cars themselves are positioned on the horizon: it is only an illusion. Look really closely, and you can tell that the cars are quite a distance from each-other (look at the first car and how close it is to the camera, and then look at how far the second car is. Also notice the size difference because of the distance).
Alright, since when do the cars anywhere near each other?? They have always looked 20-40 feet apart. As far as I'm concerned, that's not close at all! At least, not as close as they were during the daytime. THIS IS CLOSE. THIS IS NOT CLOSE. And the Rex is hardly on the first car. Do early 90's Ford Explorers mess with people's depth perception or what's going on here?
Those cars are sexy :3: I'd like one.
i had one of those in hot wheels form
Artistic license or the continuity guy messed up. I still can't believe that T-rex isn't real.
That T-Rex is, and forever will be, the best visual effect in cinema.
