Did you played Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis? It's fucking awesome
Agreed.
Shame it was barely moddable.
...Are you kidding? You can change every dinosaur in the game's skin to whatever you like. Some even managed to create a new "death duel" between the Rex and raptors (Though its not nearly as refined as the other death duels). Some even managed to make multiple skins for species, as in, JP1, Lost World, and JP3 raptors all in one park.
As for the movies? They are and have always been amazing. The original and the Lost World are probably my all time favorite movies. The books are equally awesome. JP3 is a piece of shit though. If it wasn't labeled Jurassic Park? Then sure, it was an ok action movie. But it basically took everything the series established and took a shit on it.

Your avatar. :psypop:
I re-watched the first Jurassic Park last night. Man that bit where the chick always goes to turn the power back on always gets me.
Is there any other awesome dinosaur films? Of course nothing can be on par of Jurassic Park, but I don't recall any others.

Figures. I don't see why though, dinosaurs are awesome. There's also Godzilla, it was pretty good too.

I see that as hardly moddable.
If it was the least bit moddable we would be able to add new items, dinosaurs, and shit like that to it.
All you guys raving about the CGI never saw the original Jurassic Park. The CGI was only in the remastered version released years later, the original 1993 release only had animitronics.
As a film guy (and I feel like such a douche saying that) one my assignments in my film class was to study Jurassic Park. Fun times.
I can't even begin to...
Just...
Also, I loved these movies when I was a kid, I remember going to the cinema to watch JP3 one Sunday morning when it just came out. Good times.
Jaarrasic park was such a simple Yet entertaining movie.
It can also be summerized fast-
Crackers get dino DNA from amber, make dinos and put them on tropical island. Lil raptors attack children on other islands. Scientis (&lawyer) go to island. The dinos rip 1/3 of those scientist appart. Lawyer gets killed pn shitter, fat ass gets acid on his face. Cuban army comes and rescues them.
-perfect movie.
You spoiled the whole movie, good job.
You spoiled the whole movie, good job.
I know! Damn I wanted to experience those intricate plot twists first hand!
Seriously, you've not even seen this film and just had it ruined for you? I suppose I shouldn't tell you Planet of the Apes had Apes in it then?
You spoiled the whole movie, good job.
What's to spoil about Jurassic Park?
You watch those movies to see dinosaurs fucking shit up, and that's all there is to it.
It sucks that I've never seen this movie.
There was no army in the movie, they left on the InGen helicopter they arrived in.

Then I must see it soon! Or I shall be a miserable shell of a human being.

I think you accidentally put the plots of the book and the movie into a blender and turned it on.
Jurassic Park still amazes me.
I loved that movie as a kid, and I still love it to this day. Best movie ever created imo. I love the jello shaking in the spoon scene.
Dinosaurs+humans=a good movie!!
just dinosaurs

Yeah speaking of that, who made all that food and why and for who? There was a minimal number of staff at the park at the time, and most (if not all) left on a boat for the mainland soon after Hammond arrived. Was ALL that food for the small group of people? Why was it just left in the open? You'd think if for some reason they prepared all this food beforehand for the ten or so people that they'd put it in a fridge or something to be consumed at their leisure.
I think it was frozen to be used for real guests. But when the power went out it all started to melt, so Hammond decided to take it out and eat it for comfort. Then he just left it there and the kids found it? Dunno, can't remember.
You might be thinking of Universal Studios Hollywood as they do also have a jurassic part river adventure. The current on at IOA has been there since the park opened but most definitely was built just for the park. There might also have been a Jurassic park walkthrough at US but Im not sure. Alas there was no river adventure at the original park though.
Jurassic Park III director, Joe Johnston, revealed in an interview in January 2010 that Jurassic Park IV was set to be the beginning of a second Jurassic Park trilogy.
He also added, “Jurassic Park 4 is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen.”
According to a new interview conducted in 2010 by Drew McWeeny with Joe Johnston on the website Behind the Films, a new script is under works with a different idea behind it. Johnston says once he finishes Captain America, he hopefully will develop Jurassic Park IV with Steven Spielberg.

Oh come the fuck on.
That better be a lie.
