You wouldn't look for a deeper societal cause that doesn't actually exist in the situation. You look for any chance to make societal connections that don't exist out of isolated incidents which in no way reflect any kind of misogyny or gender inequality. If I saw the video with the woman replaced with a man, my opinion on the video would not change, whereas yours would, and that shows more gender inequality than anyone else has even insinuated.
