It's fucking pouring in Southern California, goddamn.
-Snip, misread the Pagan calendar-
Night guys, going to wake up at 1AM and watch it!
fuck off clouds
Last (total) one was in Feb 2008. Not exactly as uncommon as 1 in 100.
Last one on a winter solstice.
Last one on a winter solstice.
Last one on a winter solstice was almost 400 years ago though, not 100. I dunoo where the 100 came from. Maybe the 2008 one wasn't a full eclipse?
So it's gonna be what time for Britain? :saddowns:
Cloud is thick and low here, no eclipse for me!
2AM central?! Fuck dude I can't stay up that long...
2AM central?! Fuck dude I can't stay up that long...
It starts at 11 ish, midnight isn't that late to catch a bit of it if it's visible where you are.
What time does this jolly old event kick off in foggy little UK?
The factor that makes this lunar eclipse special is that it land on the 21st of December, the Winter Solstice. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity
It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
That half of the world won't see due to cloudy skies.
That half of the world won't see due to cloudy skies.
Sucks to be them. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] They are officially inferior.
Right now in Minnesota, I doubt I'm going to be able to experience this shit, as there is a snowstorm going on and it most likely will be cloudy all night.
Don't worry bro, I'll just get my weather machine to cause global warming on a mass scale and save you! :3:
Fuck this. Since saturday every single day has been cloudless, extremely hot, cloudless, very dry and without a sign of a single cloud. On the night where the eclipse may be partially visible, this cursed weather decides to start a thunderstorm.
I'm in Brooklyn, NY. Hope it's good enough out here to see it.
If I get up early to see this and it's cloudy, there will be hell to pay.
Moon is right out side my window and it's beautifully bright. I love it.
Fucking shit, it's raining here.
clear sky, however I don't want to be tired for school tomorrow. hmm, stay up or good night rest? if I stay up, ill record it from my itouch's camera
It's snowing, and i cant see the moon. WHY CHICAGO WEATHER WHY!??!?!?!?1
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's snowing here.
Careful a total eclipse could make this happen
Good luck with that Unless you have telescopic lenses on your iPod, of course
Why would you need to magnify the moon? I mean, an ipod camera will probably give crappy quality, but that's a given, you will be able to see it fine otherwise.
Going to go see this shit.
Is it for view in the Southern hemisphere? If so when :v:
So uh... when exactly do we get this in Australia? Because it's midday right now. Timezones do my head in sometimes.
Oh boy, it's completely clear here
