Put your elbow on the table with your palm facing up and rest you chin on the palm. It's much harder to fall asleep in this position.
Caffeine pills. They also have the side effect of making you hyper, which boosts your productivity! I should know. I've had quite a few and I wrote eight pages of Biology notes in half an hour! And answered some French questions! Good times.

Hot showers can work wonders for you. Usually if im in a desperate need of energy and feel like my eyes are going to slam shut, ill take a very hot shower and ill be feeling great for 1-2 more hours. No taking bubble baths, that makes you sleepy. Take a warm-hot shower, and youll do fine. Sources: Me when I write reports last minute

My sleep schedule is pretty messed up too, I sleep at days and play games/surf internet at night.
Just slowly start going to bed earilier or later and getting up earlier and later until normal pattern is restored
