Australian Sex Party vs. Family First Party! FIGHT!

That other party even sightly having a chance at winning make me really feel sorry for the Australian people and their restrictions on freedoms I take for granted. Such as restricts on the internet. I am not sure if this is still true but I read that the Australian Constitution does not expressly protect freedom of speech or expression? All the censorship in Australia over films, video games, internet and artistic expression. I think this should be reported more in the news and western media. Thought only thing that criticize in Russia when do not even have anything like and the most open internet in the world.
I wish you the best of luck in fighting against censorship over your internet and freedom to express yourself in movies and video games.
I had no idea Aussies have an Internet filter. Ouch.
We don't but we might
I have a valid reason to vote for the Sex Party.
They want to stop the internet filter.
Don't rely completely on that for your vote though.
Similar reason for me wanting to vote Lib-Dem here in the UK a couple months ago when it was election time. They got sucked into this cooperative government and are being complete sellouts. The act the LibDems originally wanted to prevent from passing, which would force ISPs to cut their customers internet off if someone SUSPECTED they were downloading illegaly, may well still be passed.
That, and now they're 'fully supporting' the supposed budget cuts in education (and people with degrees paying tax for undergraduates, the fuck?) that Cameron proposed. Not that I've been keeping up with British politics much since the election... probably should.
Anyway, my point is, the ASP looks cool (from my leftist point of view), but I'd check up thoroughly on all their other policies before making them your priority vote.
i still dont see how you can be for both separation of church and state and gay marriage.

...what?
...what?
marriage is a religious tradition
Euh ever heard of Civil marriage, practiced in a massive area of the world?
Or perhaps the fact that marriage has a severe impact on civil law? Or that in a bunch of countries a priest has no power to create a legal binding marriage?
Not to mention that the institution of marriage has been around for longer than modern religions.
I wouldn't want sex party as prime minister, since the policies they have aren't generally broad for a prime minister role, but I'd absolutely love for them to get a few seats to really have a say in what goes on
I'd vote for ASP if I could
