Talking about Never Mind the Buzzcocks, the episode starring Richard Ayoade as guest host is a must watch.
Does anyone know when series K is set to begin? I know they normally start new series around September, but was hoping someone might have an actual date.

never forget
I've been watching episode after episode of QI recently and I've honestly forgot how amazing it is - it's up there with HIGNFY in my favourite panel shows now. I also think it's really great how so many people who aren't british in this thread are watching and loving it. Anyway, you might appreciate this episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, the BBC's flagship music based quiz, where stephen fry is guest captain of one of the teams opposite phill jupitus (who's been on the show since 1996). There's a shitload of QI references and an adorale amount of hero-worship for stephen fry. So when are new episodes? Also anyone know any youtubers that will have it up right away?
So when are new episodes? Also anyone know any youtubers that will have it up right away?
yeah, there's someone who uploads them later that night or the day after. they get posted in this thread when they're up.
The waiting begins.
I wish they would broadcast Qi in the states, I always have to wait a few days and find it online.
This channel usually gets them up within a few days Speaking of which here's SJE18 (which aired in late August). Sadly not the XL version

The new episode also lacked alarms, Alan also can't slinky.

I like to wait for the XL anyway so I would be waiting regardless.

Oh god Noel Fielding This is a dream coming true Now all they need is Russel Brand or Paul Foot (Or all at the same time)
I love Noel so much No homo Actually yeah full homo
Phil Jupitus is on!
Katherine Ryan is where humour goes to die
I really want an episode with Noel Fielding and Richard Ayode together. They're a fantastic double act. Watch as they slowly dismantle and shame Ed Sheeran infront of everybody. Or their unique answer to the question "What did Gordon Brown throw at his staff?" As for why QI isn't broadcast in the US: Jimmy Carr said in the Nerdist podcast that he tried to start a panel show in the US. He met with the biggest TV broadcasters and loads of American producers but they just didn't get it. He tried to explain that the aim of the game is irrelevant and it's just about making jokes around the format. But the producers wanted to know if their was a winner at the end of the series, what was the prize, can normal people play or is it celebrity only, does it have to be comedians, what are the rules, do they need a certain amount of jokes, do you get points for jokes. Nobody working in TV in the US understands it or is willing to risk it. If they're not willing to start a new panel show, no way in hell will they pay to broadcast ones already existing. They just don't see an audience in it. Which is odd as Jimmy says the pirating for things like QI, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Would I Lie to You, and 8 Out of 10 Cats is really off the chart.
I just wish they would release Qi series on DVD in the states, even though I have all the episodes on my PC I would love to support the program
An episode with Russel Brand, Noel Fielding, and Richard Ayoade/Paul Foot.
Noel Fielding, Richard Ayoade and David Mitchell would be the ultimate
Episode 5 is absolutely perfect for me and my friend. Bill Bailey, Jeremy Clarkson, Jimmy Carr!
Jimmy Carr does dirt cheap shows in my hometown (Dunstable). I think about £10. He tests all his material on us. Gervais used to do the same thing. Dunstable had a reputation for a shithole so lots of comedians test stuff on us. He's not done any in a couple of years but when he did he ripped it out of somebody I know (and dislike)
The problem with picking an ideal panel is that there have been so many good guests but they all work well off each other. For example, David Mitchell's fantastic but he wouldn't necessarily work well with someone like Noel Fielding because they approach humor in different ways so they probably wouldn't play off each other very well, whereas David Mitchell and Sandi Toksvig, for example, both sort of have the same sense of humor so the conversations work pretty well with both of them. Not that I'd be sad if I saw David and Noel in the same episode, I just don't think they're necessarily the "perfect" comedy match. That being said, my ideal panel would be something like Alan (obviously), David, Sandi, and either Jimmy Carr or Bill Bailey.
David Mitchel, Jimmy Carr, and either Noel Fielding/Richard Ayode for me. They make me laugh till I cry. David's worked with Richard who has a very similar style to Noel (though slightly more deadpan)
jimmy carr is fuck awful imo, except on QI where he's a nice foil for stephen
