I go to a university... ...in Braunschweig.
If you like fermented fish, you should try pickled herring. It's not fermented, but it has a weird flavor that you might enjoy. It's really sweet.
The cashier at the supermarket looks at me funny when I buy jars of this stuff, I think I'm the only person in my town who eats it. It's delicious but the texture is the worst thing ever
Hah, even in belgium Blood sausage and Liver sausage can be found nearly anywhere. It's great stuff.

My dad eats that shit all the time. I have no idea where he gets it either, it just appears in our fucking fridge every week or so. He just eats it straight up out of the package, nothing along with it. It's pretty fucking gross if you ask me, but I can see how he likes it. He's at least 75% German.
Yeah, Leberwurst is good stuff. Here in germany, the fucking streets are paved with it. But how do you eat it? just like that with a spoon? Here in bavaria, we have that shit for lunch, "Brotzeit" (vaguely translates as: time for eating bread) as we call it. And we put it on black (rye) bread, this stuff here We call it the "Peasants' Bread", at least when I buy it in the bakery. So how do you foreign people consume our traditional leberwurst?
Now make a thread on how to sabotage someone's Braunschweiger.
For educational purposes, that is
find hot braunschweiger in your area click here
So that's where we ship our food
My grandmother used to always make braunshweiger and onion sandwiches for us when I was a kid. I tolerated them okay, but I've never felt compelled to buy the stuff myself. I think there is better luck finding that stuff in the midwest region of the U.S. for some reason.
It is abundant here in the Netherlands. This morning I opened the door and there was just braunschweiger, braunschweiger fields as far as the eye can see!

I went out to my local grocery and bought some Braunschweiger, some bread, and some spicy mustard specifically because of this thread. This is definitely a new lunch food of choice.
I'm eating some bread with this right now. :smug:

hah this shit is like 2 dollars 50 cents at a convenience store it's fucking tasty [editline]14th December 2010[/editline] I used to eat about two rounds of it everyday since it was so tasty by itself. But then I pretty much almost had an heart attack.
