COPS COPS, THIS GUY IS RECORDING ME.
I can just hear the dispatcher on the other side. "This is the 5th or 6th call we have gotten in the last few hours, just ignore him and continue on your business. Quit wasting our time."
Its an invasion of privacy and it's obvious that he is just doing it to annoy people.
Being filmed by a security camera from the ceiling recording everything 24 hours a day, most likely with low resolution and frame-rate isn't as bad as having a guy stick a camera in your face whilst being a dick. Not to mention that security cameras are for documenting criminal activities which can then be used as evidence in court, while this guy is just putting the videos on youtube so other idiots like him can laugh and mock these people.
Couldn't of said it better
people who go "One nation under CCTV" and "well the police do it" don't do it for shits and gigs, its used for protection and if needed, court. Also most cameras as mentioned are mostly black and white, low resolution and shit frame rate, but the resolution isnt a problem for the police because they have experts who can break down important clues and faces if needed (im pretty sure this is how they catch a majority of these crimes)
plus the tapes are secured from public access for good reason, this guy was just sticking a camcorder in everyones faces hoping for a reaction and being a nuisance, the tapes would of been with him for his free will, its not the fucking same people
Security-camera -footage most likely gets stashed somewhere and most of the footage NOBODY has seen. But if someone takes a video with their own camera, cellphone etc. it might end up on the internet, on youtube then spread on some forum. Like this one.
I would have taken his camera and bolted
god he's such a fucking dick about it
i can't imagine he's doing anything but sitting behind the camera with a shit eating grin while being silent as they yell at him
Marblehornets: The Movie
I think he's just trying to make a blunt point about the whole surveillance society thing.
No one gets mad when they see this at every street corner
but when it's someone they can actually see doing it they get angry.
There's a difference, though, and that's what this guy is totally missing, is that one is meant for surveillance for the protection of people, and the other is just an asshole with a camcorder
Just wait for google glass.
I'd rather not watch someone with a video camera going around being a cunt
You seem confused, It's just a video.
15:50 sounds just like a GTA IV pedestrian.

"What's your fucking problem, pal?"
So are they right about him not being allowed to record them? Here in Sweden you are allowed to photograph and record people without consent, even for non-commercial publishing

it's a video
it's not like the camera is stealing their souls or anything
as long as it's being taken on public property without interfering with anyone else's rights (there is no right to not be photographed/video taken btw) there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, annoyances and privacy issues aside
this is how paparazzi operate on a day to day basis here. if anything many of the people on these videos broke the law by assaulting the man and his camera (the source of many lawsuits on celebrities from photographers taking footage of them)
How are you supposed to act when a creep is following you with a camera, recording you while being vague and confrontational when asked why he's doing it?
curse at him and try to break his camera
At 7:30 "God what a dumbfuck!" sums this guy up pretty well.
I think the most irritating part of the video is that there's no retaliation. What he's doing is incredibly annoying, but every individual 'offense' is very minor. Therefore, if someone were to retaliate, anyone looking at the situation would think that the person had an over-reaction. I would be satisfied seeing this guy get his camera smashed at the end of the video, however.

Wow no shit it's not the whole first page talked about it, including almost the first 3 posts saying that he's just being a dick.
The problem is him using these reactions to push his agenda to remove CCTV cameras.

Anglor asked a question and I answered it, not really sure why you're trying to jump on me for that
