The only *core stuff I like is good ol' metalcore, but it has to be pretty technical, e.g. Between the Buried and me = excellent technical metalcore band. Back to ear/headphones/buds/whatever. What's bad about long hair and over ear headphones? I just push the hair back and put the headphones on, simple, and it doesn't matter what you look like. I do hate having my hair under the headphones, i.e. just putting the headphones ontop of the hair without moving it out of the way. That's uncomfortable. Blah blah blah as everyone says, just get some decent sennheiser earbuds. Also you should stop acting so HXC man, there's no point in bragging that you listen to heavier music than everyone else.

I bought a nice pair of Sony ear buds about 3 years ago for $50, awesome sound and fit, no noise and they still look/sound brand new after daily use.

Seriously, Sennheiser's will get you the best value for money in this price range.

What about those little bose in ear's? They kick ass and i've seen em for about 30 pound.

It's pretty simple really, If you want great sound, go for Headphones, not Buds. I'm sure Expensive Buds sound good, but obviously, Expensive. So yeah, Get some of the Sennheiser phones.

Skullcandy or Koss is the way to go. I own a pair of both.

I'd like to go with the majority of this thread's replies and say get Sennheisers. I also own a pair of [U]Denon AH-C452's[/U], they are pretty good, I got them at the price of my last Sennheiser's. The sound is clear and good, but it lacks some.. bass compared to my [U]Sennheiser CX-400's[/U]. Both earphones sit well in your ear, and come with differently sized 'ear adapters'.

I recently bought [u]Creative EP-830[/u] for my iPod, in my opinion they're great. But I'd recommend Sennheisers for heavy metal listening. Just do it, man.
