They're just going to keep bringing it back, it'll never pass but they'll keep trying.
Surely there has to be a limit to how many times they can try to pass this bill?
Surely there has to be a limit to how many times they can try to pass this bill?
Maybe a limit per year or something? Not sure. Either way they will probably do whatever they can do pass it, but I doubt it will ever succeed.
Shit, better buy my gun today then.
i like how this isn't actually going to help at all
they tried to ban bright neon colored real guns because they looked like toys
so now there's going to be even more neon colored guns and even more confusion
whoa hold on
i talked to some guy from imperial, and he said this was going into the third hearing soon and has a really high chance of passing
is this true
haaaayl no, it will not pass.
What did they change to come back with it?
What did they change to come back with it?
All "toys" that fire a projectile under 16mm? or something like that
All "toys" that fire a projectile under 16mm? or something like that
So that includes paintball guns now?
I dunno. That asshole is just wasting everyones time to be honest
And nerf guns?
And nerf guns?
That wouldn't surprise me.
but....but......nerf guns are already bright colored?
Then we'll paint them black, because all real guns and airsoft/paintball guns will be colored. [/california logic]
I wonder under what basis they actually think this'll fix anything. Just seems like it'd make it even more of a nightmare for policemen to do their jobs.
Your forgetting venom, politicians live in a different world to the rest of us.
It's a ludicrous bill in the first place, and the amendments to exempt paintball from the bill show just how corrupt of an asshole De Leon is. The shit he wants to do is going to be a nightmare to police anyhow, given that now it's not just at the state level, but EVERY county and city are pretty much given permission to decide how they want to handle it, be it not at all or more fucking restrictive than the shit he's proposed.
If you're going to point a replica gun at a police officer, then you deserve to be shot. We don't need this state being a nanny more than it already is.
So turns out this whole thing is a ploy by paintball lobbyists to get a boost in sales. The man who wrote and is backing the bill for DeLeon, is a lobbyist, and 4 of his clients are major paintball companies

I really did not see that one coming.
I think it's funny that the paintball industry thinks that all the airsofters would just switch over to paintball just over some stupid thing like that
Especially since this doesn't affect me as I live in Virginia, where there are barely laws for real steel, and I already have my gun.
This is seriously fucked up, fuck those fucking cunts.
If you bought all your guns pre ban would you still get in trouble?
Knowing California, yes probably. There you can be arrested for possessing an "illegal handgun" if the manufacturer doesn't renew their "legality lease" with the state. Even if you bought it when it was legal
