It's crazy to think that a team would use a logo designed by a fan in the first place. I can't think of a single team that ever used a logo that some guy sent to them. They just don't do that, they hire companies to design it for them.

If the Capitals and the NHL think they can win a case without giving up a dime, they will. Like I already said, the logo they used was designed by people who would never have seen the logo your father designed!
Tell your dad to get a job instead of sitting around for 2 years drawing a logo then getting butthurt because they didn't use his exact one and claim they stole it.

He feels as if they have taken conecepts from his design and manipulated it into their own logo. Also search up on google, the lost symbol capitals

You can pretty much decipher the Capitals line of thinking when they made the logo. As I showed before, they already knew that they could make a W out of the top of the Capital building. All they needed was something to represent their team. An eagle? An animal that represents the government that is based out of the city the play in? It's not that hard of a design to come up with!
And like I've said way too much. It was fucking designed by people who would have never seen the logos your dad designed and was updated based on suggestions by the fucking players themselves!
Sadly, the design put into that website is total crap. That just destroys all relevancy.

Bad spelling, but I shall grill your post for a different reason.
Even if they claimed they'd forgotten it, they wouldn't be able to prove that they hadn't seen it (I'm guessing there's evidence of this 'presentation'). This means that they would still be obligated to pay out - the court could rule that they forgot about it, but it stuck in their mind therefore they wouldn't have created that logo without his original design.
I might sue the OP, for the reason of making me look at that website has caused my eyes to shrivel up.
