Gave you one Box seat.
As a professional designer (not of logos) I probably have more insight into this topic than most folks here.
While I think the 94/95 versions you dad did bear a striking resemblance to what they ended up using in 97, unless you can prove that the designers they used saw those designs and they influenced their final decision, it's impossible to continue any further in this lawsuit.
While they may have stolen your dad's idea, his versions are extremely crude, and without solid proof that the designers saw his version before submitting theirs, it could have simply been a case of concurrent ideas. The laws about intellectual property are a bit unfair, and in order for the court to award your dad any damages he would have to be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that his logos were seen by the designers and used as the basis for the logo they finally decided to use.
Also, the design from 1993 with the eagle holding the hockey stick (from the original court case) looks like total dog shit, and nothing at all like the actual logo next to it. The fact that he brought that to court will most likely cause a judge to dismiss his new case.
The Washington Capitals have a sexy logo.
It doesn't matter, they still have the top player in the NHL on their team. :smug:

Your dad fails by trying to do a lawyer's job and totally fucking that up with paper work. At least now you have a reason to make your dad feel like shit. Which you should because you could be a millionaire right now. I would be fucking pissed.
At least they didn't steal american bacon as well.

Looking back, my middle school actually stole that screaming eagle logo. They changed the colouring to our school colours, but the shape was identical. I wonder if we ever got premission for that. If not, It might explain why we suddenly changed it.

They ended up using them in 2007, not 1997.

We used Carolina Panthers stuff with the "Carolina" taken out.
