Honestly I'm starting to be okay with the changes. If I didn't have respect for Joe as a whole this video might actually hurt to watch, because really nothing else he said leads him to believe he's completely clueless. Detaching myself from selflishly wanting to own some cool guns with legit magazines, it's really easy to understand and support the ban. What I'm surprised hasn't been brought up is the fact that while high cap magazines can be used to mow down loads of people in the primary focus of politicians, mass shootings, you wouldn't need so many rounds to take out just one or two guys. IMO at least, because killing one or two aggressors takes a lot less rounds than dealing as much damage as possible to clustered groups of people. I think the cap should be 15, because it gives substantial enough firepower to law abiding citizens while still requiring any of the very few percentage of shooters that actually use ARs to murder people a lot more reloading to do.
Now seriously though that's one fucking tiny piece of the problem, especially since what...80-90% of shootings are done with non "assault weapon" guns? [U]Crime as a whole in all of the US[/U] is a bigger problem than a few restrictions and bans can solve.

I thought he's obvious that he's not saying it would take two minutes to reload a magazine, he's saying fourteen reloads instead of four would add a fair amount of time to the shooting and could give enough time for people to escape or respond.
In fact I don't see anything there that seems ill-informed or stupid. He makes it clear that he doesn't care about assault weapons and recognizes that they're not special, and despite his gaff with terminology catches himself and gets the point across pretty well.
Magazine restrictions may be dumb, but it's a lot better than Feinstein getting her way.
