Doing a fun little demonstrative speech tomorrow for my English class on how to collect and play vinyl records. Over half the class is doing something food related though. The last speech we had was a comparative speech. I compared manual transmissions to automatic transmissions, while over half the class compared 2 colleges. The best part: only 2 or 3 focused on academics, while the rest mostly focused on sports programs.

In 8th Grade we had a mini debate project and the topic I was given was [I]gun control[/I]. I used facts and really solid information (pro gun obviously) and I was super proud of my side. My partner was an dipshit and didn't do anything to help. The other team was two girls and they said "we dnt need gnus bcuz guns kill ppl and thats what cops r 4" and other BS about how guns cause crime and guns are bad etc. End result: [I]I LOST[/I] I cried Also I hate when people talking about guns say "Bushmaster AR-15" or some shit like saying the mfg. makes a difference about what kind of gun it is. EX: "Kalashnikov AK47" I also hate when they just say the mfg. and the caliber like that actually describes the gun. EX:"Beretta 9mm" or "Smith & Wesson .45" Can you tell I don't like gun idiots? I think people who are trying to ban a certain type of weapon should be an expert on that type of weapon so they actually know about the gun, other than its full auto and accepts 30 round magazines. /Vandy/ FOR PRESIDENT

In my Civics class, we have weekly current events. Last week I did mine about the AWB going into Congress. I was actually successful in educating some people, and I felt great.

My last speech was about the military development of China over the past century. I like oration because I'm confident talking to groups of people. At the end of it, my professor compared me to R. Lee Ermey in how bombastic and direct my speech was. I've been hoping to find an excuse to give a speech about gun control because I would have such a fun time doing it.

I dont like anti gun people and I dont like most pro gun people. I dont like anybody. I just hate humanity in general.

What do you guys think the best survival rifle is, preferably one you own? I think mine would be the Norinco SKS. -30 or 10 round magazine (have both) -folding bayonet -easy to maintain -rugged as hell -very comfortable ergonomics -loaded thru stripper clip or fresh magazine -ammo should be relatively easy to find because everybody has a 7.62x39 gun here in my neck of the woods -full metal -real wood -2350 fps -pretty nice cleaning kit contained in the butt and the rod mounted under barrel -no BS sling mounts 10/10 would survive again

It uses extremely common ammo and magazines, is easy and light to carry, and has reliability to boot. The only downsides I've seen to it are that the sights are too low for taller people like me and the fact that 9mm Glock-magazine Sub 2ks are rarer than unicorns.

Out of the 2 guns I own, I'd say both would make good survival weapons. I'd possibly chop my Stoeger down to 12" though in a SHTF situation, and possibly Obrez the Nugget.
