to anyone who knows about PC's is there a way to disguise a USB port as a com port? im trying to get my thunder AC6 working with the computer app, and the app only recognizes COM ports, and the charger only came with a USB plug.

I'm using mine now. I never even bothered with hooking it up to a computer or dealing with the software because there's honestly no point when it can do everything it needs to do within its own unit.

Good for going from 0-60 and things like that, as well as drifting if your car is built to handle it. Horsepower: Speed. Good for having a high max speed. For example, my Camaro has a disgusting amount of torque, so my 0-60 time is super fast, but I go really slow once I'm in 5th gear, and have a low top speed. My junky Kia probably has a higher top speed than the Camaro because it has slightly more horsepower and is a newer car.

I still don't get why people drift though.

Its fun because you're doing something your car isn't supposed to do. Same reason people like to drive fast and stuff. And the technical concepts in drifting are pretty cool too, and its neat to think that you're manipulating everything in just the right way to pull off a tricky maneuver. I still wouldn't drift because I wouldn't want to damage my self/car, but it seems like it could be really cool.
