Yeah I know. I can't explain why it costs so much to people who don't bike.
[editline]23rd February 2013[/editline]
and those people already know why
because it's a niche that can afford to make things that are only physically slightly different from inferior products much more expensive?

No.

Have you ever ridden a very nice mountain bike?
No.

i thought my $400 mountain bike was fancy
What does your bike do that my jeep doesn't do better?
What does your bike do that my jeep doesn't do better?
oh well that's stupid obvious: it doesn't use gas. And it gets you in shape too. Bikes are cool, I just don't totally get the whole expensive bike/racing bikes/mountain biker thing.
I feel like the differences between a $400 bike and a $4000 bike are gonna be pretty similar to the differences between a $100 AEG and a $1000 one.

I don't think the money scales the same for the two things...
Cyma CM028 to Realsword Type 56.
Cyma CM028 to Realsword Type 56.
That's not the most accurate comparison. My bike is a downhill bike. It's made to take big hits and go fast. His $400 bike is probably a hardtail cross-country bike. Those bikes are supposed to be light weight and pedal efficiently. They make ridiculously expensive cross-country bikes too, with some costing upwards of $10,000, but mine is not one of them. A closer comparison would be CYMA CM028 to Inokatsu M60.
Cyma cross country ak.
Bitch, it was $3900 new.

firefly is awesome
watch it yo
I've actually just been watching Firefly for the first time this week, on episode 9 right now. The horrible Chinese pronunciations are killing me. Other than that, pretty cool so far.
I just watched it this week as well. You'll really like the last few episodes I think, but the show DID get cancelled before it could explain much so after you finish 14 you gotta watch the movie, Serenity.
I actually watched Serenity before I watched all of Firefly. My dad liked Firefly and would always watched them whenever there was a marathon on Syfy, and when he rented Serentity to watch it, I watched it with him
You guys would probably like Space: Above and Beyond.
It was a 90s sci-fi series that was a lot like the new Battlestar Galactica, but less pointless drama/angst and more awesome. It had one season where the episodes were shown out of order, then got axed by Fox, just like Firefly.

I roadkilled a squirrel just now
I hope it was quick and painless :(

makes me want to play Freelancer
Speaking of, I suggest you all get Discovery mod because it actually has active MP fanbase and adds all sorts of rad shit.
That show reminds me a shit ton of Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
Firefly or Space-Above and Beyond?
Breaking Bad, yo.

Both times Ive been to Cali Ive made it a point to find one. I want some animal style fries now :C
There's a waterfall
in my mouth
5 Guys is better
Yeah, that in-n-out burger you had that one time? It was fun, huh? I got a burger too. With four patties and four slices of cheese. And some animal fries. Yeah, I'm that important.
5 Guys is better
We (catbarf and I) have one like 5 minutes from campus
The burgers are really close to being as good, but I gotta give the other stuff like the fries and shakes to In-N-Out, especially with the shit you can order via secret menu.
there's a 5 guys in a mall complex about 15-20 minutes away from me. I went there once a while ago and it was pretty good. Tempted to go back sometime. Its on my way to work so maybe if I have to work another saturday I'll drop by on my way home
