i don't celebrate christmas. but my friends do. I am pressured by society to BUY lavish gifts to continue economic prosperity during the festive season. Fuck this shit.
I usually don't ask for stuff on Christmas. Usually I'll get a few things and some money. I honestly feel better whenever I give presents. Especially since I always buy two copies of games so that my brother and I can play together over LAN.
I couldn't figure out what I wanted, the only real thing I asked of my family was to Pre-order the Collectors edition of ME2, which they did months ago. That comes in January. Knowing my family I'll get something I never even thought about.
I've got everything I need, so I don't really want any presents this year.
I'm so pissed off with my parents, they can be so tight-assed at times. I'm asked for a fully upgraded Macbook Pro (17", 3.06GHz, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD) and they said they would get it for me and I was very pleased. But then, they told me I wouldn't get any other presents for Christmas! How shitty is that? They knew themselves that wouldn't be the only thing I would get, so pulling this bullshit on me just seems unreasonable. Even something cheap like an iPhone wouldn't hurt.
Considering that is over $3,000, you'd better be damn happy you're even getting the thing.
I just looked around and got out Microsoft Word and jotted down things that needed replacing or upgraded. I came out with a fairly priced list: 1 TB external hard drive with eSATA (My 320 GB drive was getting full COD:MW2 (Many friends highly recommended it) Internal USB hub (Starting to get low on ports) 4 GB MicroSD card (Wanting to use my phone as a replacement to my dying iPod Nano) CD-RW disks (I am trying to get a Linux distro on my iMac G3, I go through tons of disks) Replacement keyboard for my netbook since it uses a shitty bilingual layout which screws me up when typing I also had some oddball things like a kit of parts and an Ethernet adapter for my Arduino.
I don't really need anything myself, I would be happy with just money to choose what to buy.
I don't ever mind what i get for Christmas, what i get is what i get.

Last year my two brothers and I moved our computers into the basement and played CS:S together, man that was fun.
It's not like I don't want anything, I just don't know what I want. I know I won't get anything for the pc, so I have to wish for other things. I usually let myself surprise. But this year I wished for this:
Trapper Hats are great, and stylish too :D
It took me forever, but I finally came up with a bambo fun tablet for $85 And of course people could gift me some games on steam....
I only wish for money for christmas. It's the only thing that I actually need.
-snip-
No, I need that clock
I don't want anything, but my parents are forcing presents on me :saddowns:
Some bloody sleep, it's freezing.
I want a new computer but we all know that is never going to happen until I can buy one myself.
In before the kids of GD wake up and wonder why OP is a lunatic Apart from the iTouch thing, you really should get one (too expensive for me at the moment)
poor I already got 200 bucks and a Macbook. (Wondering why I wanted a mac? I already have a computer. I7 core, nvidia 295, 12 GB Ram, 2TB harddrive memory.) I'm a spoiled bitch
I haven't asked for anything since I was a kid. For me Christmas has never been the same since I lost my Aunt and Grandad!
I want games, but since I only buy on Steam that translates into me wanting money. Otherwise I just want like a harddrive or a PS3 which I doubt I'm getting.
I don't need anything.
I didn't want anything for Christmas, but my mom drug me allover town and made me pick shit out. I got some coats, pants, shirts, and some books.
The only thing I want for Christmas is a job. :frown:
you can have mine
I don't want anything, but giving me the gifts would be nice. ;)
Feel the same way 100% The only things I would like having for Christmas are either illegal, unobtainable, or way too expensive. So this year, I'm going to be surprised, although I know I'm getting a guitar, and probably some gift cards or something.
I want some quality time with my family. Fuck presents. It only brings me trouble and stress. Whenever I think of Christmas I picture people running around the mall caring a hundred bags, with a grumpy look on their faces yelling at their kids, which are crying because they've been walking in the middle of a huge crowd for 5 hours shopping for presents, to shut up. My dad said that he loved the "spirit of christmas" the other day. I seriously don't get it. Even the christmas eve is full of stress in my family, with my aunt running around the house cooking dinner for 20 people. We always end up dinning at 11 PM then we start unwrapping the presents at 1AM and finish at 4, when everyone's sick of seeing wrapping paper all over the place and just want to get the hell out of there.
I would like a girlfriend. :sigh:
I don't want anything cuz' apparently the stuff I want is very VERY expensive
