You're criticsing the jetpack for being unrealistic? How about an 11-year-old killing over 30 well-armed men with dual handguns and blades? Oh, then there's the whole "SMAW Rocket pushes a fully grown man through a pane of glass and straight off a building for about a hundred feet then exploding"? But shit, Nicholas Cage not getting wounded during the warehouse fight is totally chill too. It's a movie.
Many rocket's have a delay before an explosion can occur. Such as 50+feet so the shooter doesn't blow himself up as well.
could it have enough force to take him off his feet like that?
Take someone off their feet? Yeah. Enough force for sustained flight until it exploded? No
Fuck, my lazy country will release it in summer after it gets voice acted. I demand less laziness :colbert:

Great movie. :v:
I found this funny in the criticizing of hit-girl and the movie it's self.
Australian Family Association spokesman John Morrissey claimed that "the language [was] offensive and the values inappropriate – without the saving grace of the bloodless victory of traditional superheroes".
Maybe because these aren't traditional fucking heroes!? That was the point of this god damn film. They seriously expect a film called "Kick-Ass" to be traditional fucking superhero movie? Dumb asses.
I really want to see this movie. I had an argument with my parents, who insisted that it was a Disney movie about a brother, his sister, and their dad who go out and fight crooks. I then showed them the Hit-Girl trailer, and they insisted that I was thinking of the wrong movie. I find said misconception far too common in the masses.
Not the best super hero movie out there, I gave it a shot and it was a good film all round..From what I hear they didn't make enough for the studio to shoot a sequel but we'll see..This was like kill bill mixed with the watchmen and spider man.

My favorite part was when that little girl commited multiple homicide.
rotten tomatoes has it at 77%, so rotten tomatoes can suck my dick
When dealing with RT a good tip is to add about 10% to the score, and you get a more accurate representation of the movie.
I loved it. The hallway scene with hit-girl was awesome.
I went to see Green Zone, left and saw the part-ending of Kick-Ass. I saw the part where kickass fucks over the other people then they burn Big Daddy. Fuckin win.

I just saw it. It was awesome enough, but I was expecting more killing. I want more killing. MORE.
i just read the graphic novel, didn't live up to how amazing the movie was tbh. couldn't connect to the characters at all (and they were way different from those in the movie) and everything felt rushed
Anyone else find it strange how it was a american film but premiered in the UK first?
Anyone else find it strange how it was a american film but premiered in the UK first?
Wrong.
Anyone else find it strange how it was a american film but premiered in the UK first?
You said this earlier, it ISN'T a american film, it IS BRITISH.
I couldn't understand [sp]what Big Daddy was saying while he was burning. Could someone tell me what he said?[/sp]
I read the comic. Horrible, horrible, horrible. It's everything that was wrong with the 90s. Just swearing and violence and sex. If it's supposed to be a parody it's a bad one. Rob Liefeld writes the foreword, for Christ's sake. There's this air of self-aware "Ooooooh comics!" crap that almost made me sick every time it came up. The characterisation is bad - Big Daddy is supposed to be this family values type guy - yet he's fine with his daughter swearing and chopping people into bits. It makes NO sense. There was one genuinely funny moment, though - when one of the gangsters yells "He shot me in the tunk!" - but it ruins it by dragging the joke on too long and spelling it out for the reader. A re-reading made me notice that they actually drew the guy's dick falling to the ground. Nice. Chapters 1 to 7 were absolute shit, chapter 8 was brilliant at times, but ultimately not worth it. Fuck that shit, I'm sticking with DC.

So nobody remembers what he said? :saddowns:
