I went in expecting a straight up comedy but came out in awe of the action as well.
This movie was absolutely fucking brilliant!

What was disappointing about it?
I watched the movie with some friends, expecting nothing, and walked out as a changed man.
From start to finish, there is no part of the movie I did not enjoy.
I really want to see this, it seems pretty cool. Going to watch it in the cinema next month.

i'm sorry but those are completely invalid reasons to dislike it, your understanding of what makes a good film is very skewed

Then buy the Extended Edition DVD with more [sp]Big Daddy[/sp] once it's released.
Just came back from the movies. It was fucking amazing. Loved the [sp]action scenes, and the gatling jetpack was so absurdly awesome that I just sat there with my mouth open. This movie better be a success in the box offices.[/sp]
It's had a bit of a lackluster performance at the box office which I think is a fucking tragedy, it's easily one of the best movies to come out in recent years.

Damn that sucks. Well, in the screening I was in, there were only me and 4 other people, so the theatre was almost empty. Good for me, bad for the movie.
