So does anyone actually know when the next comic is coming out if at all? Then the big question is will it be made into a movie and will it be as good?
The comic was terrible what the hell are you talking about?
It's had a bit of a lackluster performance at the box office which I think is a fucking tragedy, it's easily one of the best movies to come out in recent years.
thought so. No one else at my school likes it either.

I hate you, as a person. I can only imagine what kind of individual wouldn't like this film.
The comic was terrible what the hell are you talking about?
Yeah, the comic was way darker than the movie. I didn't like it as much as the movie, at least it had a pretty happy ending.

I liked it. :saddowns:
Just watched it, I thought it earned it's name pretty well.
I work at a movie theater and the number of people asking me if Kick-Ass is a kid's movie is alarming.
My coworker got yelled at by some idiot because he "dared to sell his family tickets" to a movie that wasn't family friendly.
It was rated 18+ and it has ass in the title. Totally seems like a movie for every 8 year old child to see.
It had fucking Avenir in the title
Does someone know the song that plays when [sp]Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl fly trough the town with the jetpack?[/sp]
It was rated 18+ and it has ass in the title. Totally seems like a movie for every 8 year old child to see.
It's rated 12+ here.
The ratings system in Thailand is still being rolled out, so I just waltzed in. I think it was 15+ here, though, I haven't seen a single 18+ film before.
Only thing I wasn't very fond of was the fact that Hitgirl and B.D. stole the show, wasn't the movie supposed to be about Kickass?
uh no not really it was about all of them
uh no not really it was about all of them
Kickass fucking sucked. Big Daddy and hit girl were far more interesting.

i was about to post my friends review who would agree with you, but not that they sucked, but he wasn't nearly as good as them.
his review:

my thoughts on his review (and your comment i guess):
Here's why you're wrong about the "it should focus more on hit girl" thing.
Many movies have a main character who's been thrown into the same universe we've been thrown in. A center character we can relate to. I'm not pointing out the obvious of giving a movie a protagonist, I'm pointing out that the protagonist needs to lead us through the movie. Hit-girl is already a trained assassin, and a character nobody short of sociopathic 13 year olds can really relate to. Kick-Ass on the other hand is an everyman. Despite the fact his superhero alterego is less cool than Hit-Girl's, Dave really serves as a great lead character to not throw us into a bunch of shit we don't get yet, but as someone who grows and learns with the audience. This works well in a lot of movies. Even Luke Skywalker is a Dave Lizewski. What I'm saying is, that while Hit-Girl is awesome, she isn't as good a lead character in terms of filmmaking, and ultimately I think it would start to fall apart.
He's not holding it back, he was essential as a main character, his narrative is the most relevant, and to be honest I enjoyed it more with him as a main character, because I think too much Hit-Girl would ruin her, the fact you so fanatically want more of her means the movie succeeded just the way it was.
So SHUT UP CLIFT

He's a good main character. It's just that it would be better if he wouldn't suck at everything, however this holds hilarious results.
I want to say I adored the girl that acted as hit-girl without sounding like a pedophile, but there isn't any way possible.
Only thing I wasn't very fond of was the fact that Hitgirl and B.D. stole the show, wasn't the movie supposed to be about Kickass?
I think the idea is that you get caught up in the action packed and over all brutality of those characters, which do come pretty sudenly, then by the end of the Second Act you feel just as "In over your head" as Kick ass would be.
Who has the Kryptonite remix played right before the part with Bad Reputation? (not sure if spoilers)
Awesome movie.
I saw it 2 weeks ago, it's a very entertaining movie.
Looks bloody awesome.
Watched this last night. It was awesome. Plenty of comedy (while some being a tad cheesy) and plenty of action and awesome music choices (Prodigy, In the house in a heartbeat). Probably one of my favorite movies that isn't serious.
I really didn't like it much, a few funny bits here and there however. Paper thin plot and characters, lots of drawn out, boring and over stylized action sequences.

nope
Amazing movie with some of the worst marketing ever. I saw the trailer for it when I went to see Avatar and I was like "That is going to suck so hard." They made it out to be some stupid, corny super hero parody, when it was a really great movie with a perfect blend of action and comedy. Also, I'm glad the girl they picked for Hit-Girl wasn't obnoxious. Obnoxious children always ruin movies. 8.5/10
God, Hit girl is so awesome.

This movie should be Called Hit-Girl, since she's the only one that have 3 action scenes.
nope
You have no clue how arguments work, do you?

Probably because it's based off a graphic novel :v:
The comic is AMAZING, I'm going to take a look at this movie.
