I got my girlfriend to do this as well because she likes to exercise but doesn't like to run on the treadmill.
I'm going to try this.
on day 3 managed a total of 47 pushups

I can't stand going to a gym either because of how boring it is. doing something like drums though is a fun way to get a bit of exercise

Managed to do 39 just dropping from the chair and doing it. Which I feel is passable since I don't ever do arm exercises. Which means I probably did them wrong. Which also puts me at rank 4.
I finished Week 1 with 20 push-ups on the last set, which is an increase of 5 from the last day.
It's been two days since i finished week 3. I can't wait more, i wanna start week 4 [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8348859/eager.gif[/img]
I hope my arms will be fine for day 2 tomorrow. They're still quite painy after the first day.
Does anyone else hears weird sounds coming from your arm, when you over do push ups for the day? Anyway my max is 47, I started some months back though.
Okay, week 1 is done and I have a question. I only really get pain in my lower abdomen when I do them. Even the day when I don't do any, I feel like I have extreme strain in my lower abdomen, ie, it hurts when getting out of bed. Is this normal?
You're either doing something wrong or have an incredibly weak core. Probably a mix of both. Make sure you're doing them right.
60 last summer 20 now.. damnit!

It could just be that you have a really weak core. Just stick to schedule and deal with the soreness.
from Monday to Wednesday I improved by 5! Today I was able to do a max of 30! Since Wednesday, I have improved by 10! this is looking awesome for me! I wish you all who are having trouble that you can get it down and get on the ball like I am!

Remembered that it was my day two today, looked at the table, and was like :byodood: Nice steep difficulty curve >.> I was apprehensive for good reason too, when it got to [max - at least 25] at the end I could only get 15 out. Looking at Day 1, I guess this means I've improved by 5, instead of the required 15. I guess I repeat Day 2 on monday. =/
The area between my shoulders and my neck is still quite painful for me. I'll wait an hour or two and the jump on the workout for day 2. [editline]22nd January 2011[/editline] Day 2, I did only 7 on the last set. :frown: Damn arms hurt from day 1. I think I'll have to repeat this day.
Did my best this week but I was struggling so I'm gonna start over on week 1 on monday. I also found that when I make myself really nervous, annoyed or angry I can do much better, and since I feel that pretty much all the time it'll be easy! :v:

I did this program a few months back, granted I started on week 4 but it's a really cool feeling when you finally do 100
I just did the 3rd day because I missed it yesterday. I can really feel the difference. Went from 22 max to 32 in just 3 sessions.
i did day one for week 2. I added all the push ups i did in the 5 sets up that i did, i did 63. A hour later i did 37 later in 3 sets, because i didn't feel that exhausted and had a protein shake. another hour later i still felt energetic and did two sets of 10. So I did 120 push ups, basically I decided to do day one of week one twice. then i did 40 sit ups, then another 30 in another set.
Gonna restart Week 1 since I forgot Friday.
I was wondering maybe I should restart Week 1 because I had problems finishing it but at the same time I want to do Week 2. :ohdear:
