Most TV chefs use liquid measures for dry ingredients and visa versa? I find that incredibly hard to believe.

Europe is a continent. :eng101:
Also, not a lot while staying in hotels but I did have to cook quite often using a hotplate at the hostels.
Does it really make that much difference?

You can use whatever you want, but I'll stick to these.

No. And what I originally came in here to say was thank you for posting this, Facepunch was in dire need of some culture and cuisine.

Oh I know. Thanks for reading.
I agree, flour is measured in deciliters. I'm not sure why though, as you must make sure that the flour isn't packed when you measure it.
Oh yeah. Thanks for the thread.
It's a pleasure reading about food, except that last thread on how to cook your sperm.
I have a question: What if the person that's baking it has insufficient funds to afford the sink, the house, and the materials?

Sell a tesla coil or two, that'll give you excess power for your oven too!
If you're Canadian, I have an easier way. Buy one of these:

At a supermarket near you.

Baguette? Oh ho ho ho ho!
High five to whoever gets the reference.

Measuring by weight rather than volume helps avoid that.
Fuck.
We need a cooking forum.
We have plenty already
This thread makes me think we need a good cooking/food custom forum in FP. Yum. :)

Looks like I've been ninja'd. Drats! :ninja:
Edit:
Hey Rayven, is there any chance that some of those forums be deleted, or they can be merged and we have one official, food forum. I like to cook, and it'd be really nice to have one good forum for it. :)

How the hell did you get ninja'd when the last post was two hours before? And how the hell did you edit your post without actually editing it?
If I only had yeast, I would totally make this.
I love how you even used (French) Metric units for making French bread.
This thread has made me hungry. :v:

Automerge.
It's when you make a quick reply after your last reply, it gets merged. (Like what I did with this)
How much does it cost?
No idea. I just went to the website of a brand I recognized and searched for "baguette".
How much does it cost?
About $2.
Bake one and post a picture of it with your name on a piece of paper.

And your dick in it.
Did some different looking things today with the same recipe. Tasty!

Baguettes go great with garlic butter.
So how do you measure 'dl'?
How long approximately do you keep it in the oven?

Until it turns black and starts smoking.
Hello old but excellent cooking thread.
