I understand your feeling but I think what you are looking for is puzzle or classic adventure games - but that's a genre of games, where the challenge it provides is what makes it so fun in the first place.

When I play story driven games, either using cutscenes or long dialogs, what makes the game interesting is things character development, the overall story or how attached I feel to the characters.

It's the way THEY intend to present the game and they built it around it, there is nothing to "fix" about it.

i hope the black bars in the order is far away from the black bars in the evil within.

iirc the evil within black bars literally cut the 16:9 resolution and lowered the frame rate.

i hope this game is actually built around the black bars instead of just making it an overlay that cuts a 16:9 display smaller.

if it wasn't an overlay and it was actually empty space changing the absurd resolution to 16:9 wouldn't render the empty space being covered by the black bars.
